and the theme for this week is...
YOU'VE GOT THE EDGE
I decorated an 8"x8" Canvas Panel to create a nostalgic family scene. I started off by applying a generous coat of white gesso and then applied an uneven layer of Ranger Texture Paste Opaque Crackle...the more paste you apply the bigger the crackles and vice versa...
Once it was dry I applied a thin wash of Antique Linen Distress Oxide...
then smooshed Frayed Burlap and Black Soot on to a non-stick craft mat, spritzed with water and pounced on to the panel...
I continued pouncing colour...drying and spritzing until I was happy with the result...
I randomly stamped Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Ledger Script with Frayed Burlap and Halftone & Rings with Peacock Feathers...
To create a frame around the edge of the canvas I die cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Frameworks Trellis from Textured Surfaces Burlap and scraps of Memoranda Paper Stash...
fixed in place with Ranger Multi Matte Medium and 3D foam pads...
I added Idea-ology Snippets...Paper Dolls and muslin from my stash...Idea-ology Life Quotes Remnant Rubs and Quote Chips...
