Stamper Anonymous Mini Blueprints 10 - A Cocktail or Two

Hi folks...today I'm sharing a card made with the cocktail images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Blueprints 10...

and to be honest, I wasn't going to post it because I wasn't happy with it, not sure if it's because there's too much blue. Perhaps I should have chosen a different colour for the background but hey ho it is what it is and this warts 'n all crafter knows only too well that life doesn't always go according to plan, accept what you can't change and move on.
I coloured the Distress Watercolor card background with a mix of Broken China, Salty Ocean ad Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxides, the usual smooshing on my craft mat, drying, spritzing and tapping to pick up the remaining droplets of ink.
I then used the new release Layering Stencils - String with Picket Fence and Dotted with Salty Ocean to great some interest in the background.
And surprise, surprise the Stacked Deckle Thinlits got another outing to die cut panels of Distress Watercolor Card. I stamped the 4 cocktail images and extra word sections with Black Archival ink...
I coloured the images with Distress Oxide re-inkers from my Distress Oxide Palette using the Detailer Brush and a little spot of re-inker goes a long way. The inks will probably have separated in the palette but just give them a mix with the brush and you're good to go.
I created ink splatters on the panels and darkened up the edges with a Sharpie Black Fine Liner Pen. I spritzed the background lightly with Distress Resist Spray which gave it a slightly shimmery look and fixed the panels in place using 3D foam.
I coloured the word sections and fixed them in place over the original stamping, added Idea-ology Small Talk Stickers and wound Hemptique White Twine around the panel and tied a bow.
Have a great weekend whatever you're doing and if the weather is nasty where you are, stay safe and keep cosy. I'll see you all Monday with my DT project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and you still have time to join in this week's In My Garden Challenge with the chance to win a $50 spending spree over at Simon Says Stamp online store.
Toodle-oo for now
