Simon Says - Beautiful Blooms

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...

and the theme for this week is...
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS
I returned to my Dylusions Small Creative Journal this week to create a spring themed page featuring the humble daisy, considered by many to be a weed but I think daisies are pretty wildflowers (who remembers making daisy chains as a child) and I don't mind them popping up on my lawn. I used some of the newly released dies from Tim Holtz and Sizzix - Intricate Lace, Crochet, Wildflower Stems 1 and Alphanumeric Label Thinlits.

I started off by die-cutting panels using the gorgeous Intricate Lace Thinlits
tore them into strips and fixed to the pages using Distress Collage Medium Matte. I also added strips of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Typography Collage Paper, applied a light coat of White Gesso followed by a coat of Distress Collage Medium Matte to seal the surface ready for some Distress Crayon colouring.
I scribbled the Tea Dye Distress Crayon on the Intricate Lace Sections, rubbed the colour into the detail with a damp finger and wiped back from the surface with a soft cloth.
I applied another light layer of White Gesso
and added stencilling to the background using the Dots and Square Gradient Mini Layering Stencils from Stencil Set 39 with Vintage Photo and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks
I inked the text stamp from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Entomology with Black Soot Distress Archival ink and stamped randomly on the background
I die cut the flowers from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix  Wildflower Stems 1 Thinlits, coloured the centre and stem of the fowers with Tea Dye Distress Oxide ink using a Distress Blending Brush and then applied a light coat of Tumbled Glass Distress Paint to the stems.
I added splatters of Vintage Photo Distress Spray Stain to the pages and fixed the flowers in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte
I die-cut the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Crochet Thinlits from Distress Watercolor card, spritzed with Vintage Photo Distress Spray Stain and water, scrunched them up in my hand and dried with a heat tool.
I fixed the Crochet Thinlits to the pages using Distress Collage Medium Matte and added Idea-ology Journey and Rose Design Tape
I die-cut the word "Beautiful" from black card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Label Thinlits. I fixed a Tim Holtz/Sizzix Sticky Grid Sheet to my Big Shot Cutting Plate, removed the cover sheet and used the sticky surface to align the letters perfectly and hold them in place.
I fixed the negative section of the black card to white card and trimmed to create a word strip. I die-cut the word again from Distress Watercolor card and inlaid the individual letters into the spaces. I sanded the edges to create a distressed look.
I die-cut "Blooms" 3 times from white cardstock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix BigZ Society die, layered to create dimension and fixed on the page with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I added two more flowers in the bottom right hand corner to balance out the design
and finished by adding an Idea-ology Word Thingy from my stash (can't for the life of me remember the name of it and couldn't find it online so it must be retired) and a twine bow.
