Tim Holtz/Sizzix Snowscape

Hi my friends, I'm sharing another card I made for the Facebook Live launch of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Chapter 4 release using Snowscape Colorize Thinlits. If you missed the Facebook Live, you can catch up with all the new products and inspirational samples over on Tim's blog HERE

Occasionally, you might need a card to send to someone at Christmas when Merry Christmas just isn't appropriate and I thought that the Peace On Earth sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Modern Christmas went well with this beautiful tranquil winter scene.
I began by applying Tim Holtz/Sizzix Adhesive sheet to Distress Watercolor card and die-cut all the pieces using the Snowscape Colorize Thinlits.
I coloured each section using Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink using a mini round blending tool, applying a heavier application on the base section and lightening the colour as I built up the layers to create the scene. The adhesive sheet holds the die cut pieces in place which makes it easier to colour the small pieces. Once assembled, I splattered with water and dabbed with kitchen towel to create that water droplet effect.
I fixed the white tree section in place, coloured the smaller trees with Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress Oxide inks and fixed in place.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 5.1/2" square to create the card base, coloured lightly with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink and added water splatters.
I added Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to Distress Watercolor card, spritzed with Distress Resist Spray and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter. Once dry, I brushed off any excess glitter and die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Arctic Thinlits.
I removed the waste stars from the die-cut panel using my craft pick, added to the top half of the background panel and fixed the Snowcap scene in place using Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I inked the sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Modern Christmas with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink, stamped on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, fussy cut and fixed on the background.
I applied a light coat of Distress Collage Medium Matte to the white tree and snow sections and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter. I matted the panel on to Distress Watercolor card, coloured around the edges with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink and fixed to a 6" square white card blank.
Woohoo the weekend beckons and you are invited to a very special party on Saturday over at Tim and Mario's place, 10am PT or 6pm if you're in the UK for the Facebook Live launch of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Christmas stamps and stencils and believe me, you don't want to miss it. I'm so excited and can't wait to see what all my fellow makers have made. I've booked my front row seat, organised my snacks and hope to see you there.
Happy Crafting and have fun with whatever you are creating.
