STAMPtember 2020 - Snarky Cats

Hi my friends, I was absolutely thrilled when the Tim Holtz STAMPtember 2020 stamp set arrived in the cubbyhole and a huge thank you to Tim, Mario and Mr Stampers Anonymous for their kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. This exclusive set sold out in double quick time at Simon Says Stamp but if you were lucky enough to grab one, I know you are going to have as much fun as I'm having with these adorable Snarky Christmas Cats.

I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to create a slimline panel 3.1/4" x 8.3/4" perfect for the card I had in mind. I smooshed Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and laid the panel on to the ink. I dried and then tapped the panel back in to pick up the remaining ink droplets to create a soft background. I stamped the snarky cat image and sentiment from the stamp set inked with Black Soot Archival.
I die-cut the parcels from scraps of last year's Idea-ology Christmas Stash Pad, the bows from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Gift Wrap BigZ die. I fixed two of the parcels in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and added Sizzix Foam Adhesive to the third to create dimension. I coloured one of the bows with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink, fixed them in place, added Distress Collage Medium Matte using a small paintbrush and dusted with Distress Rock Candy Glitter. I also  added small stickers to the parcels from Tim Holtz/Ideaology Christmas Sticker Book.
I inked the snarky cat with Black Soot Distress Archival and stamped on to scraps of Distress Watercolor card. I coloured the images with Pumice Stone and Barn Door Distress Re-inkers using a Distress Detailer Brush.
I fussy cut the main image and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium Matte. I fussy cut the head and scarf from the second image and added on top. I re-stamped the scarf section twice with Barn Door Distress Archival on to scraps of Distress Watercolor card, fussy cut and fixed in place to create more dimension.
I matted the panel on to a slightly larger panel of white card and fixed to a card blank, scored and folded from Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red cardstock.

A little sneaky peek of another STAMPtember 2020 Snarky Cat card I'll be sharing with you soon.
Have fun creating with your Christmas Snarky Cats or whatever is on your desk today
