Tim Holtz/Sizzix Chapter 4 - Hello Autumn

Hi my friends, I'm sharing a card I made for the Facebook Live launch of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Chapter 4 release using Leaf Print, Alphanumeric Shadow Lower and Tiny Text Upper Thinlits. If you missed the Facebook Live, you can catch up with all the new products and inspirational samples over on Tim's Blog HERE. Autumn is possibly my favourite time of the year when Mother Nature shows off her amazing colour palette as the leaves turn to the most beautiful shades of gold, bronze, russet and red. Unfortunately they then fall to the ground and require sweeping up, not a chore I enjoy, one that requires the right weather conditions, any hint of wind and you're fighting a losing battle and if there's a gale overnight, you are sweeping up your own leaves and twice as much again blown in from neighbouring gardens. After a month or so of this unrelenting task. I'll be happy to say Goodbye Autumn and Hello Winter.

I began by creating swatches of Autumn colours by dragging Distress Mini ink pads over panels of Distress Watercolor card and die-cut using the Leaf Print Thinlits. There are 2 dies for the 4 leaf shapes creating a base and a detail element which can be used in different ways.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 3.1/2" x 5.1/2", dragged the Distress Mini Ink pads over the card and spritzed with water to create the background. I die-cut the bases, used the detail die-cuts to puzzle piece in the waste and fixed the leaves in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte and Sizzix Foam Adhesive to create dimension on the two outer leaves.
I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Tea Dye Distress ink using the direct to paper technique, die-cut HELLO using the Alphanumeric Shadow Lower Thinlits. I die-cut the letters again twice from Distress Watercolor card, layered to create dimension and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I fixed Tim Holtz/Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to a scrap of brown Idea-ology Classic KraftStock and die cut using Alphanumeric Tiny Text Upper Thinlits to complete the sentiment.
I smooshed Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress inks on to my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and used with a Distress Detailer Brush to colour Idea-ology Bouquet Findings.

To finish, I matted the panel on to brown Idea-ology Classic KraftStock and fixed to a 4" x 6" white card blank.
I'll be back soon to share more projects created with the Chapter 4 release, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you are creating.
Hugs Kath xxx
