"Winter Seals" Gift Bag

Hi my friends, I'm back to share another project using the gorgeous Winter Seals stamp set from Simon Says Stamp latest exclusive collection, Peace On Earth. You can check out all the fabulous new products from this release HERE. If you follow my blog, you'll know I have a thing for decorating plain "cheap as chips" gift bags. I like to keep a stock of gift bags, ready for those last minute gift occasions, a box of sweets to say thank you to my lovely UPS delivery lady or my always reliable postie and it looks way more special if it comes in a one of a kind Christmas sparkly gift bag which costs next to nothing to make with supplies you already have.

I began by trimming Simon Says Black card to 4.1/4" x 6.1/4", allowing for a small border around the edge of the gift bag. I stamped one of the 4 - outer circular stamps, inked with Versamark, randomly on the card, sprinkled with Simon Says Antique Gold Embossing and heat set. I repeated, overlapping the circles, sprinkled with Simon Says White Embossing Powder and heat set.I stamped one of the Winter Seal images. inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink, on to Simon Says Ultra White card and die-cut using a Simon Says Nested Circles die. I tapped Versamark ink over Simon Says Ultra White card, sprinkled with Antique Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. I stamped the outer circular image with Black Soot Distress Archival ink and die-cut with a larger nested circle die. The black ink didn't show up very well on the embossed surface so I went over the dots with a Sakura Black Glaze Pen. I matted the die-cut circles using foam adhesive and fixed to the panel using foam adhesive to create dimension.
I sprinkled Stampendous Frantage Aged Black and Chunky White Embossing Enamels over the background and heat set from underneath.
I trimmed thin strips of Gold Sparkle Tulle to create the bow for the ornament and also added a thin strip across the bottom of the panel fixing the tulle on the underside.
I fixed the panel to the Kraft gift bag using Distress Collage Medium. I die-cut Simon Says Merry Frame 3 times from Ultra White card, used only the word, layered to create dimension and fixed to the tulle using Distress Collage Medium.
To finish I fixed Idea-ology Christmas Label Tape to a scrap of white card, trimmed and fixed on the tulle to complete the sentiment.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned. I've got a hot date with 87 Tim Holtz/Sizzix Village Collection dies and magnet sheets. With no YouTube Live party tonight over at Tim and Mario's place, I'm having my very own "great organization makes me happy" party, thanks to a genius storage solution idea from my sweet friend Zoe which you can find HERE.
