Simon Says - Trees

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

TREES

I love to mix and match stamp sets and used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Holiday Things, Jolly Santa and the cute image from Simon Says Night Before Christmas from the Handmade Holiday release, on backgrounds created with Villainous Potion and Antique Linen Distress Oxide inks, to create my winter woodland Christmas cards. 

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and created two backgrounds using Villainous Potion and Antique Linen Distress Oxide inks. I stamped the tree image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Holiday Things, inked with Villainous Potion Distress Oxide ink repeatedly across the bottom of the panels. I re-inked the stamp with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and re-stamped slightly lower down and offset from the original stamping. I stamped the snowflake image from Holiday Things, inked with Villainous Potion repeatedly on the background. I stamped the sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous JollySanta and image from Simon Says Night Before Christmas, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

I inked the sentiment image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Jolly Santa with Villainous Potion and Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and holding the stamp in my hands, stamped randomly on the backgrounds.

I cleaned the Jolly Santa large sentiment stamps, re-inked with Versamark ink, stamped slightly offset from the original stamping, sprinkled with Simon Says White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.

I flicked on splatters of Distress Resist Spray, sprinkled with Simon Says White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.

I matted the panels on to Simon Says Black Cardstock trimmed 1/8" bigger and matted the panels on to A2 white card blanks. To finish I added Lucy's Little Things Ice Crystals added with dots of Distress Collage Medium.
