Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous - Cozy Christmas Santa

Hi my friends, I'm sharing the card I made for the YouTube Live Launch of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Cozy Christmas using the Santa image from the stamp set. If you missed the Live, you can catch up with all the stamps set, stencils and amazing inspirational projects from the makers on Tim's Blog HERE or YouTube Channel HERE.

I stamped the image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Cozy Christmas, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival,  in the centre of a 5" x 7" panel of Distress Watercolor card and stamped the image and sentiment on to masking paper trimmed to the same size as the panel. I trimmed around the image on the masking paper to leave a border, keeping the outer section of the masking paper to use later.
I fixed the masking paper to the card and spritzed using Peeled Paint/ Bundled Sage Distress Spray Stains and Holly Branch Distress Mica Stain.
I fixed the outer masking paper section in place, covering the green inked area, trimmed around the Santa image on the inner masking paper section, fixed over the image and added Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide inks through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Layering Shifter Stencil using a blending brush with domed foams.
I removed the masks and coloured the image with Festive Berries, Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint and Hickory Smoke Distress Ink re-inkers with a Distress Detailer Brush and a very small brush for the fiddly areas.
I replaced the mask over the image, added splatters of the Walnut Stain re-inker left on my glass media mat, stamped the sentiment, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival and trimmed the panel down by 1/8" on each side.
I pounced Distress Collage Medium around the outer edge of the panel and on to the pine branch section of the image with my fingers and sprinkled with Distress Mica Flakes. To finish, I matted the panel on to a 5" x 7" white card blank covered with Idea-ology Gold Metallic KraftStock.
To finish I used a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen and Black Glaze Pen to accent the holly berries and the buttons on Santa's coat.
I'll be back soon to share the last of my projects using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Jolly Santa. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you are making.
Hugs Kath xxx

  3. Kath, I've been following your blog for several years and have always liked your style. I have finally discovered my style....anything Tim Holtz pretty much! Your talent and creativity is amazing to me. So what made me submit a comment after all of the years following you? Well, each time I find something I like on pinterest for inspiration, it usually takes me to your creations and to your blog so I thought it only fitting to give you credit where credit is due. I'm a card maker and my cards will always have your influence (and Tim's of course). Thank you for sharing your work and just know that it is very much appreciated and enjoyed by many. Thanks Kathy!!!
