Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous - Obscure Acetate Card

Hi my friends, I'm back to share an acetate card I made inspired by the HardCore Art Panel I decorated for the Tim Holtz YouTube Live, using The Obscure stamp set and Spellbound Mini Layering Stencil from Set 56 from the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Halloween 2023 release with the spooky delicious Distress Glow Grit Paste from the Ranger Halloween release. I do love making acetate cards but they are an absolute nightmare to photograph, see through shiny surfaces are not camera friendly, so forgive my "down on all fours and swinging from the chandelier" attempts.

I coloured a 4.1/4" square panel of Yupo with Slate, Mushroom and Mojito Alcohol inks and blending solution. I stamped the circle image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous The Obscure with Alcohol Lift Ink and dapped the images repeatedly with kitchen towel until the images reappeared. I stamped the skull image with Jet Black StazOn ink.

I stamped the floral image from The Obscure, inked with Jet Black StazOn ink on to a Mica Tile, reinked with Versamark and stamped the image slightly offset to create a drop shadow, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.

I attached the Alcohol ink panel to a 5" square panel of Distress Black HeavyStock and fixed inside a 5" square Acetate card. I fixed the stamped Mica Sheet on the front of the acetate card using Ranger Glossy Accents and applied Distress Glow Grit Paste on to the acetate through the Spellbound Mini Layering Stencil from Set 56.

I stamped the Halloween banner on to a scrap of Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Versamark, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set and fixed to the front of the card with strong adhesive tape. I added strips of Idea-ology Design Tape to the left edge of the card, around the banner and to hide the adhesive from the banner on the inside of the card.
