STAMPtember - Plentiful Poppies

Hi my friends, woohoo STAMPtember, the month long celebration of stamping, crafting and cardmaking over at Simon Says Stamp, is finally here, are you excited, it's going to be a lot of fun. I'm sharing two cards I made with the Plentiful Poppies Embossing Folder from the STAMPtember release embossed on to Tim Holtz/Ranger Ink Distress Mica Stain backgrounds and the embossed detail highlighted with Gold and Silver Lustre Wax.  I used Simon Says CZ Design Hello die and Reverse Best Friends Sentiment Strips for the sentiments and decorated with Silver Pearls Mix and Bubble Blow Out Clear Gems.

I trimmed Distress Black HeavyStock on the left and Distress Watercolor card on the right to 4" x 5.1/4", coloured with Distress Mica Stains - Empty Tomb, Tree Lot, Crooked Broomstick and Unravelled on the Black HeavyStock and Fallen Acorn, Wicked Elixir and Unravelled on the Distress Watercolor card. I embossed the panels using the Plentiful Poppies Embossing Folder and applied Sizzix Gold and Silver Lustre Waxes over the detail with my finger.

I added splatters of Distress Resist Spray from the nozzle of the bottle, sprinkled with a mix of Black, Gold and Silver Embossing Powders and heat set. I die-cut the CZ Design Hello word 4 times from Distress Black HeavyStock, layered to add dimension and fixed to the panel on the left. I die-cut the shadow and word again 4 times from Distress Black HeavyStock and fixed to the panel on the right. 

I applied Gold Lustre Wax with my finger over the die-cut word leaving a little of the black showing through.

I trimmed the sentiments from Simon Says Reverse Best Friends Sentiment Strips to add as sub sentiments and fixed to the panels popped up on black foam squares.

I added Lucys Little Things Silver Pearls Mix and Trinity Stamps Bubble Blow Out Clear gems, matted the panels to Distress Black HeavyStock trimmed to leave a small border and fixed to A2 white card blanks.
