Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because
Happy New Year everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends and that Santa popped some crafty goodies into your stocking.
The first challenge of the month is when the team feature one particular company or brand and this week we are all using the fabulous products from PaperArtsy. You don't have to use their products to join in the challenge but we would love to see what you make with them, if you have them in your stash.
We are also welcoming back the lovely and very talented Natash Vacca as our Designer In The Spotlight. If you haven't visited Natasha's blog before, please pop over, you are in for a treat.
The theme for this week is...
SOMETHING NEW
I created a frosty winter card to welcome in the New Year using Simon Says Stamp The Small Things stamp set, Crystal Snowflake dies and Cool Tones Dazzling Gems from the January 2025 Card Kit along with PaperArtsy In The Navy Infusions and Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Worn Text stamp set.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", stamped a cluster of snowflakes from The Small Things stamp set inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Embossing powder and heat set. I sprinkled PaperArtsy In the Navy Infusions on to the panel, spritzed with water and dried. I used a soft cloth to buff any of the Infusions off the snowflakes.
I die-cut the Crystal Snowflake wafer die from Distress Watercolor card and Soft Navy cardstock and fixed the Soft Navy letters on to the Distress Watercolor die. I applied a thin layer of Distress Collage Medium and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter. I fixed Simon Says Stamp Silver Cord to act as a hanger, fixed the Crystal Snowflake in place with Simon Says Thin 3D Foam Squares and added a double Silver Cord bow. I matted the panel on to an A2 Soft Navy card blank
I stamped the numbers from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Worn Text on to the panel, inked with Prize Ribbon and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks.
To finish I added Simon Says Cool Tones Pawsitively Saturated Dazzling Gems to the centres of the snowflakes.
