Hello my friends, Simon Says Stamp have just released 5 new sets of dies to co-ordinate with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamp sets. If you missed the Live Launch, you can re-watch on Simon Says Stamp YouTube Channel HERE.
I created a set of notecards using one of my favourite stamp sets, Field Notes and the new co-ordinating dies, coloured with Distress Watercolor Pencils, the perfect gift for a friend to have on hand to send a note or a best wishes card for any occasion.I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to create 3 - 4" x 5.1/4" panels, smooshed Picked Raspberry, Bundled Sage and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink pads on to scraps of acetate, spritzed with water and pressed repeatedly on to the panels to create quick watercolor effect backgrounds. I stamped the small images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Field Notes randomly on the panels, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink.I stamped the rest of the images from the stamp set on to panels of Distress Watercolor card inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink and coloured using Picked Raspberry, Bundled Sage and Gathered Twigs Distress Watercolor Pencils using a Distress Detailer Waterbrush.
I die-cut the stamped images using Simon Says Stamp co-ordinating set of dies and arranged temporarily on each panel to get an idea of placement.I fixed the larger rectangle panels in place with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect Craft Glue and added Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Cello Sticker Tape. I fixed the remaining stamped images in place using Simon Says Stamp Thin 3D foam squares to add dimension.I fixed Tim Hotz/Idea-ology Label Stickers to scraps of Distress Watercolor card, trimmed and fixed on the panels. To finish I matted the panels on to A2 pieces of Distress Kraft HeavyStock and fixed to top-folding A2 white card blanks.I'll be back soon to share more makes using the other newly released die sets. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.
Hugs Kath xxx
