Hello my friends, I'm thrilled to be joining lots of friends and talented makers on Simon Says Stamp Instagram Hop to celebrate the release of 4 new sets of dies that co-ordinate with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamp sets. You can join the hop HERE on Instagram.
I created a travel journal using Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Pocket Folio using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous The Inspector and the co-ordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp.I began by removing the inserts from the covers and fixed Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Correspondence papers to the covers. I painted alternate panels of the inserts with Faded Jeans Distress Paint and covered the rest with the Correspondence papers. I added cut out sections of the papers, inked with Scorched Timber Distress Ink to the painted panels and also inked the edges of the insert and pockets.
I stamped the images from the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous The Inspector randomly on the insert, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide inks.I stamped the Inspector, Chronograph and small icon images on to Distress Watercolor card using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and Barn Door Distress Oxide inks, coloured with Distress Watercolor Pencils, colours linked below, and die-cut using the Simon Says Stamp co-ordinating dies.
I stamped the heart image on the twill ribbon included with the Pocket Portfolio, inked with Barn Door Distress Archival and fixed to the front and back covers using strong double sided adhesive tape. I assembled the die-cut sections and fixed to the front cover using Simon Says Stamp 3D Thin Foam Squares to create dimension.I fixed the insert section back into the portfolio covers.
I added the stamped and die-cut lightbulb
I stamped on a panel of cream cardstock to create a playing card and fixed in place tucked in behind the Inspector image.I'm off to make myself a cuppa, find a cosy sofa and spend the rest of my afternoon, visiting all the other makers on the hop. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you are making.
Hugs Kath xxx
