Sneaky Peek Thursday and a rant....or two

Morning Folks....yes it's Sneaky Peek Thursday and am I on my high horse...time for a rant or two....and I haven't had one of those for a while.......I have a confession to make......today is polling day for the European Elections and I have done something that I never ever thought I would do....I have torn up my polling card and will not be voting.    WHY...well I think you can guess.... like everyone else in this country I am absolutely disgusted at the way our MP's have been behaving.....what a bunch of money grabbing...."I'm alright Jack" sods......have they no morals whatsoever....while folks are losing their homes and their jobs....they are living in the lap of luxury at our expense.     These folks are living in Cloud Cuckoo land...and don't give a stuff about us and what really gets up my nose is the fact that they just don't see they have done anything wrong....not only should they be sacked....they should also be prosecuted....let's face it....if  Joe Public defrauded the Inland Revenue out of Capital Gains Tax....our feet wouldn't touch the ground......banged up in prison tout suite.    And three cheers for the British media for getting their teeth stuck into this and not letting go and to the British public for at last standing up for themselves.    Gordon Brown is suddenly horrified that this has been happening.....what was he doing all the years he was Chancellor of the Exchequer....just like the rest of them...he was quite happy to dip his hand into the till until they were all found out.   And my solution to the problem....ANN WIDDECOMBE FOR PRIME MINISTER.
And the second rant of the day.....oh yes...I'm sure you can hazard a guess at this one too........the old computer thingy again....couldn't copy files to my CD drive....it really is becoming a joke....if it ain't Mr (Awkward Sod himself) Blogger....now it's Mr Microsoft throwing his toys out of the pram.....thank goodness for Mr Picasa who came to my rescue and saved the day and then blow me after hours of faffing around......Mr Microsoft decides he wants to play after all.....gimme a break guys....really don't have time for all this nonsense.  Why is it in these days of high technology....men in space etc....can they not make a computer programme that actually works and doesn't behave like a spoilt child.
Boy....oh boy....that was a bit of a soap box moment....and now I've got that off my chest it's time for the sneaky peeks.....and there is a definite theme going on this week....surprise surprise.....yes it's FLOWERS but no HERO ARTS...I promise.....

Well that's it for today folks.....and after a rather chilly dull day yesterday...Mr Sun has decided to show his face again this morning.....well ever onward as they say.....busy old day for you tomorrow......cards for Stampin Chic.....Polka Doodles and a little surprise thrown in......toodle...oo for now......Big Hugs Kath xxxxx

  1. do you feel better for that rant now Kath?
I think Billy Connolly definitely had the right idea when he said "I think, roughly, the desire to be a politician, should ban you for life for ever being one. Don't vote, it encourages them."
    have a great day quine

  5. God, you make me squeal with laughter!
Not voting either...they're not worth the energy used walking to the end of the road, where the polling place is!
    But really...
    Ann Widdicombe???
    Really????
Sounds like another 'handbagger' to me!

  7. I agree with Tab it sure sounds you as Prime Minister would do a whole lot better than the rest of them. I totally agree with all you have said but you do make me giggle when I read it, I have this wicked vision of you thumping away at the keys as you type.
Now that you have calmed youself down, grab a coffee and get creating in your hubbyhole.

  9. Loved reading your post about election, but I am afraid I dont agree about not voting, I think it should be compulsory for everyone to vote which I believe is the rule in Australia. Ok I agree that the MP are not doing he right thing, and if we leave a shop without paying for something they wont allow is to say 'Oh sorry, can I pay for it now!' no its 'we will take you to court!
As for your suggestion 'ANN WIDDECOMBE FOR PRIME MINISTER' Yes she would get my vote, she has never been afraid to speak her mind.

  10. Hi Kath!
I only say something about your work because I don´t like politic and I don´t know what happen in your country.
I love too much your work. The flowers are very beautiful. The colors and the paper are a very good combination. It´s amazing. I have no words. Congratulations!

  12. Dear Kath I don't agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it. Today is the 20th anniversary of Tiannamen Square. I think all those brave students and ordinary people died for something we have already got-freedom of speech-and the current situation proves it.Love and Hugs BettyXXX

  13. P.S. Sorry about all those who are not voting. How can they actually voice an opinion about the situation if they don't take part. All that happens is people get in by default. That's my rant over. Will now do my blog and stick to crafting (maybe) Hugs BettyXXX

  16. Well Kathy - APPLAUSE PLEASE!!!!

I agree wholeheartedly with you. Didn't vote, never have because as far as I'm concerned they're all a load of to***rs! and that does'n't spell toasters either!

Not one of them is any good for anything at all. Although some of them aren't on the fiddle.. but they are rare!
Let's just hope that they can sort this mess out. I'm suprised that the Police haven't investigated the fraud, but then they're paid by government aren't they??

You rant if you need to... we all agree!

beautiful cardy bits by the way.. lol
