Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Morning folks....it's Monday morning....time for lots of folks to return to the humdrum routine of the working week....me included although I've been working all weekend trying to catch up on lots of crafty jobs but all work and no play makes Jill a real dull girl....so I took some time out to join in the fun over at Daring Cardmakers.

The challenge this week is....
FLOWERS FOR FEBRUARY
which are Violets or Primroses

Kraft Card
overstamped with Hero Arts CG251 - Small Solid Flower inked with Distress Ink...Frayed Burlap
Sentiment Hero Arts CL491 - Made With Love
Flowers: Hero Arts CG290 - 4 Flowers inked with Distress Ink...Mustard Seed
Brads....American Crafts
Fiskars Border Punch: Scalloped Lace
overstamped with Hero Arts S5433 - Large Canvas Stripes inked with Distress Ink...Mustard Seed
Hemp: Simply Create
Button from stash

A real simple card even for me and I am still sitting on the fence on this one.   For all the botanical experts out there....I know I am using a bit of artistic licence with the primroses but I'm sure you will cut me a bit of slack...half close your eyes and pretend.
Dancing On Ice....what can I say....Jason Gardiner is an offensive odious bully and do we really want to see folk like him on what is a family TV show....well done Karen for standing up to him and you deserved more than his half hearted crawling attempt at an apology....what a slime ball.  But that wasn't the only shocker of the night....can't believe that Jen and Sylvan have gone....she is one sexy lady who can skate and oh boy is he serious eye candy.
But I think it's far too early in the morning to be having such thoughts so I will get back to the job in hand and remind you that you only have until midnight tonight to enter The Furry Boy's Give-Away....he will be hopping on tomorrow to announce his winner and no doubt he will have plenty to say for himself as usual.
Hugs Kath xxx
Edited add: sitting at my desk with a cuppa and it's snowing....HEAVILY....are we going to be marooned again

  7. Love your primrose card, great background stamping.

Agree with you on the skating on ice issue that Jason is creep. Poor Karen.
Goes to show how people vote for there favourites even if they can't skate.

  10. I love the card Kath and how you have 'represented' primroses. :) IMHO you are the queen of kraft.
I have to agree with you re Jason Gardner. I was appalled last night at his rudeness - as usual there was no call for it and how humiliating for Karen who works so hard behind the scenes and is an asset to the show.
They'll probably keep him in as sadly that sort of incident keeps up the ratings I imagine.

  11. Hi Kath, love the card - the colour combo is not one I would have thought of but it works really well and the primroses are devine. Dancing on Ice - the arrogant and self-opinionated Jason was exceptionally offensive this week - can see ITV receiving lost of complaints about this one. And his attempt at an apology was laughable - someone should vote him off!!! And as for the really odd result - well, I can think of at least 2 couples that should have been where Jen and Vanilla Ice were. However, the silver lining is that we do get to see the devine Danielagain next week. From this I take solace. Elizabeth x
