A Crafty Expedition

Morning folks....I'm having another cut loose and kicking up my heels day....could get used to this gallivanting lark...the cubbyhole is closed for business and my lovely buddy Anne and I are off on our travels to meet up with the lovely Karen...Mrs Sugar Nellie herself and hopefully her fabulous side-kick the lovely Kate at Papercrafts Boutique Elgin for a crafty pow wow about my demo day on 7th May.
The intrepid travellers will be cutting across country taking the scenic route over the hills via The Cabrach which in Gaelic means "Antler Place"...Anne at the wheel keeping her eyes peeled for the local wildlife especially those gorgeous big boys with the massive head decorations....me in photo mode in the passenger seat and I have no doubt we will have given the english language a good old work out and set the world to rights by the time we reach Elgin....
and perhaps a pit stop at the famous Whisky Bar.....for a coffee I hasten to add
I know what you're thinking.....it's hardly in the same league as a Polar Expedition but when you get to my age this is about as exciting as it gets....and nothing beats a great day out with lovely crafty chums.
And talking about excitement....have you seen the Red White and Blue Gorgeous Give-away over at  The Ribbon Girl Blog to celebrate this month's Royal Wedding...
click on the link for details of how you can enter and while you are there....you may as well pop over to the The Ribbon Girl....and check out this.....
Coooo....eeeee...WOOL FELT  in lots of different gorgeous colour combos...oooh I feel another addiction coming my way....can you imagine using your Timmie dies to cut out oodles of gorgeous florals adorned with buttons or charms from The Ribbon Girl...do I have time to pop over for a crafty spend before I get ready for the first stage of the expedition.....the solo drive to Alford to meet up with my lovely Expedition Leader...catch up with you all tomorrow with tales from our adventure.
Hugs Kath xxx

  13. Beautiful scenery Kath, hope you're having a brilliant day out. When I first moved over here people would constantly ask me what I missed most about England, and I would always reply "Scotland"!! Off on a trip of my own for 10 days starting tomorrow, so if the planets align and my name is picked on PBSC, hang on until I get back would you!!! Lol.

  15. Hi Kath, lucky you - that's a lovely route your travelling on and Elgin was always one of my favourite places to visit when I lived up north. My daughter attended the hospital there occasionally so we would make a day of it.There was a nice Italian place near the cathedral we would go to for real risotto :) Hope you had a great day and look forward to hearing all about it.
