Less is More Challenge...Week 25

Morning folks...when life is hectic do you fantasise about having lazy days doing absolutely nothing....sitting around watching telly or with your nose stuck in a book...yes me too.  And yesterday was such a day...hubby was off out so The Furry Boy and His Mum spent the morning snuggled up on the sofa with the Sunday crosswords and endless cuppas but by lunchtime the natives were getting a bit restless and what do we girls do when we're bored....yes our thoughts turn to food...the snack lunch turned into an afternoon of raiding the biscuit tin...the fridge...anywhere that contained anything remotely edible...so before I began to feel like a beached whale...it was time to get back into the cubbyhole and keep those hands busy.
The sum total of activity for the whole day was 2 crosswords and a card...so can you tell me why by evening I was absolutely shattered and by 9 o'clock struggling to keep my eyes open...off to bed by 10 and I'm sure I was spark out as soon as my head hit the pillow...there must be a moral in there somewhere.

And I struggled with this one....either because challenge cards have been few and far between in the cubbyhole recently....fast becoming a rare species or Mr Mojo has jumped the gun and taken off on his holidays already.   I think I may have confused some folks about my holidays...I'm not disappearing off the radar for 2 months...I'm not flying off to exotic climes nor will I be lazing around under a palm tree on a beautiful white sandy beach in the Caribbean....I wish it were true but I'm just taking some time off from demos and workshops...taking a break from the stresses of crafty deadlines...instead I'll be putting on my lady who lunches hat and having lots of "out and about" days with friends and the grandkiddies and hopefully lots of time for crafting of the play variety...I'll still be blogging although it might be more waffling than anything else and doing my DT stuff as usual...so I'm afraid you're not getting shot of me that easily.

    This is a real cutie Kath, your snowman (or is it a snowlady with all the pink around)...looks quilted and snug.
    I think that for a busy person to have a lazy day just means that tiredness has a chance to catch up, when the adrenalin keeping you to deadlines is absent! I'm not surprised you were in bed by ten!

    Hi Kath - great snowman card! Your body must have been telling you you needed a rest and you've been so busy of late it will do you good to have a few more lazy days and early nights (which must be better than taking ghastly 'delicious tasting' honestly, that's what is says on the box, liquid iron and minerals puke medicine which I have to swallow twice a day - gross, but it's making me feel better!)     Enjoy your time with friends and family,and enjoy relaxing.. let the tiredness catch up sleep it off, and when your back you will be rearing to go..and mr mojo will be with you

    Morning Kath, So glad you had a chill out day, you must have been so relaxed, and had a very relaxing sleep last night. It does you good to do nothing sometimes, but boredom can lead to eating the contents of your kitchen.

    Morning Kath. Lovely card with the Nitwit Snowlady. Chilling out does seem to lead to abnormal activity amoungst the fridge and cupboards. fine at the time but all those calories.... doesn't bare thinking about... so I'm not!! Enjoy the break and hope the weather is going to pick up, maybe need to borrow snowladies scarf and toorie when you get out and about! Carolxx

    Great card Kath. Love that Nitwits snowman, he's so colourful.

    I'm back from Crieff now and I think I've had my hols! Only had my laptop on for a few mins. Babysat on Sat and went to Stirlingshire to visit my elderly aunt on Sunday. Even had time to visit my brother and sister-in-law. Finished off with a meal at a posh hotel, Poppy and Oliver too! The dogs are exhausted after chasing each other and Catriona's dog all weekend lol!! Hate to tell you how lovely and warm and sunny it was there all weekend. 20 degrees in the car this morning but by Laurencekirk down to 11 and starting to rain, yuk.

    Good to be home though and back to blogging.

    Hi Kath and buddy of course! I love all your creations, you give me loads of inspiration and ideas so thank you x. Can I ask where you bought the hexagonal box that you used for the sewing bits and bobs, I love the idea and I fancy doing something similar for my sisters for xmas.

    Another beauty. The less you do the harder it is. The busier you are the more you get done - horrible really!!! But being off for 6 weeks with the children means very little proper crafting for me - booo hooo.
