What's On My Workdesk Wednesday

Morning folks....oh boy did I have a riveting day yesterday...sprucing up the hoose...now I know why Nigella Lawson is in no danger from me of losing her Domestic Goddess title...what was meant to be a bit of delayed Spring Clean turned into a quick flick here and there.  To be honest it doesn't matter how much you do the spick and span routine...that pesky dust will be back in a matter of minutes...as long as everything looks fairly tidy....the bathrooms and kitchen are clean....what does it matter if there is an inch of dust on top of the doors...I'm not tall enough to see it.  Will this become a regular occurrence...not if I can help it.
So onto far important matters...it's Wednesday and time to play along with Julia and her crafting cronies over at WOYWW...the cubbyhole is back to Jingle Bells...Glitter and all things Christmas and the workdesk has been taken over by Fiskars...

the one thing missing is that all important element...the one thing us crafters spend our waking hours searching for....INSPIRATION.  With Fiskars Projects coming out of my ears and a deadline of the 20th...I need to find it PDQ...so if you have any going spare it will get a huge welcome here.
Catch up with you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

  1. Good morning Kath and Buddy.
All those Friskars goodies look rather intriguing, I'm sure you'll come up trumps Kath like you usually do. Good luck.

  2. Good luck Kath with those Fiskars goodies! To me...with a house full of wee ones up to my eyeballs, those stamps scream either bubbles or bathtime...we have a dog here right now due to Sister in law and that would ring double true as a child as never smelled as bad as a stinky dog! LOL! Good luck!-Amanda #33

  4. Lol on the housework front..my hoose feels a bit like the Forth Road Bridge..you've no sooner got to the end when you have to start over and with 4 kids I mostly don't even get to the end before having to start over so like u as long as it's tidy and kitchen and bathrooms clean I am ok with that.. Have a great day Kath and looks like the sun is out in Aberdeenshire for a change!!!

  11. I'm sure you'll have no problems once you get started Kath - I need to give the bathroom a good clean today, thanks to the kids it looks like there has been an explosion in a toothpaste factory, they just don't get the "pea-sized" bit!
    have a great day

  12. Thanks for sharing your space, have a good week! Sometimes all it takes for mojo to return is to start doing something. If he sees you going on your own he gets worried that you won't need him anymore so he comes back!

  15. A feast of Fiskarness there - do love the punches, they cut like a dream... I'm onto the flick method at the mo too - but as summer visitors approach I will have to get the steps out...

  18. Housework?? Natch. Much more fun doing something crafty instead. What are those things that look like little blue saucepans?? You are talking to a card/stamp novice here! x

  19. I'm with you on the housework front, as quick as you clean it someone comes along to mess it up!
Wish I could help with the inspiration Kath, but I'm struggling here too! :)xx

  20. dust the TOP of doors??? (Okay, I do do 'other peoples doors but very rarely my own! and move other peoples chairs and sofa's, only because I once had someone who would put things under the sofa/bed/rug/ to see if I did under it! very sad... Your Fiskars goodies look lovely to me, I sometimes get comments from their blog or wherever to come and join in, but I can never get into it! Have a great Crafting week ! HaPpY WoYwW

  21. Ah, the dreaded 'H' word - I subscribe to the 'keep the kitchen and bathroom clean' approach and it is my DH who can see the tops of the doors, he's the one to dust up there :) You'd think all those Fiskars goodies would be inspiration enough but I think the approaching deadline will prove to be more inspirational! Hope your week proves to be a productive one and give Buddy a pat from me. Elizabeth x #99

  24. Just wait for the dust to be high enough so that when you close the doors it gets automatically wiped off!! Kitchens and bathrooms and one room where you can sit visitors too, everything else is "behind closed doors"! Hope the mojo returns soon, deadlines are usually good for creativity.

  25. Some days it just feels like you've gota keep cranking them out, some days you open a box of stuff and immediately know what you're intending, funny isn't it. No doubt you'll do a great job, no doubt at all...meanwhile, don't move the dust off the doors..you'll be needing it for insulation in a couple of months!!

  26. I like the look of those stamps .........& that shape looks like an apron.......make a paper apron with a row of flowers stamped across the bottom..........add some faux stitching, a snowflake christmassy apron...... oh dear perhaps it's not an apron after all......... Intriguing & hope you've had a productive day.

  27. I'm with you about the housework and keeping the kitchen and bathroom clean. Probably somewhere people can sit too. I don't mind hoovering or a little cleaning but I really hate dusting. I don't even mind ironing.

I'm sure you've been inspired by these lovely Fiskars. And hasn't it been a gorgeous day for us lucky dog walkers!
