Monday's A Play Day....

Morning folks...the sun's been shining in my neck of the woods over the weekend...OK the arctic  temperature is nothing to get excited about but at least we seem to have missed the snow so far.  I spent a "never moving too far from the radiator" cosy weekend in the cubbyhole getting all mucky with ink and paint which required a mega Timmie Scrubbie session to get the crafty mitts back from looking as though I'd been involved in a massacre but hey loads of demo stuff in the bag and what's a bit of muck when you're having fun.
And not forgetting my special weekend treat...snuggled up on the sofa with The Furry Boy and a glass or two of wine enjoying Sunday Night TV...Dancing On Ice and Call The Midwife...can life get any better....oh yes...a new series of Upstairs Downstairs starts at 9pm on BBC 1 on 19th February...crikey can I handle all this excitement.
Now that we're into February and Valentine's Day is only a week and a bit away...our thoughts are turning to LOVE...no doubt we'll be seeing  lots of these popping up on blogs everywhere....

Once I got all scrubbed up from the mucky session it was time to have a play with my DT Project of The Month Kit from Craftwork Cards...the Moorish Collection...it's decidedly delicious and definitely MORE-ISH...
and shame on me but I'm abandoning my workdesk in "looks like a tip" mode this morning...
to take a trip to The Papeterie for  "coffee cake and chat" with my lovely buddies Charlotte...Debbi and Lyn.  Before you start thinking it's just another excuse to skive off...I've got a box of cubbyhole declutter goodies for Lyn who's collecting crafty bits and pieces for a centre in Aberdeen that runs activities for folks with mental and physical impairments...due to funding cuts they are struggling to afford craft supplies and then I'll be shopping for Fiskars Workshop supplies...so it looks like Monday is going to be a play day.
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

  1. Such a great gesture to donate some of your left over craft goodies for the workshops for less fortunate people.

  4. Lovely of Lyn to collect items for the centre in Aberdeen and very thoughtful of you Kath to provide some much needed stash. Good luck with the Fiskars 'shopping' and don't eat too much cake!

  9. That's defintiely a worthy cause - I have a few contacts like that too & would much rather pass on things. Hope you have a lovely trip out & the tip doesn't look too bad. Glad you got a lot of the DT bits sorted & all the best with the Fiskars.

  11. So wonderful you are donating you left over craft goodies. I'm sure it will be much appreciated.

In a previous post you mentioned cold hands. I couldn't keep my hands warm unit I made some hand warmers. Just a couple bit of fabric sewn into a pillow filled with rice. Just pop in the microwave for 30 sec. and slip them into the palm of my gloves.
