those pesky household chores...

Morning folks...I enjoyed reading all your comments yesterday about which crafty task would tempt me and was tickled by Julia's comment that I would nail all 3...I've seen the day but now it's definitely night...the answer is NONE...to be honest I couldn't decide...yes that old age indecisiveness thing got me again so I abandoned the cubbyhole...caught up on some pesky household chores...well someone's got to do it...then headed for the kitchen and got stuck into making loads of yummy soup to stock up the freezer...
There's nothing quite like a great big steaming bowl of home made soup to make you feel all warm and toasty  and just the ticket for the batten down the hatches weather we're having...the wind is blowing right down from the arctic but still no sign of snow. And I think I know why. Cast your mind back to last winter...the car marooned for weeks and The Furry Boy and his Mum struggling every day on our slippery slidey morning strolls...well I had no intentions of getting caught out this year...getting ahead of the game and ready for anything the weather could throw at us...fitting Winter Tyres to the car and investing in Snow-Traks for my feet...thinking that once the snow arrived they would be on everybody's shopping list. And what happens...we've had zilch...nada...absolutely NIL...I am willing those snowflakes to start falling from the sky so that my expensive investment doesn't turn out to be a spur of the moment white elephant.
And I'm definitely pushing the boat out in the excitement stakes today...I'm tackling the ironing mountain...it gets a bit of a problem when you have more clothes awaiting the smoothing iron than are hanging in the wardrobe and believe me...this is definitely a job requiring all my big knicker willpower.  In the meantime some cards I made with the The Moorish Collection "Project Of The Month Kit" from Craftwork Cards....yes the one that is so MORE-ISH...as always with Craftwork Cards it's full to brimming with yummy products...

See you all tomorrow for sneaky peek Friday

  5. Beautiful cards Kath. Your soup also looks very moorish too. I hate the ironing too, but needs to be done. I know people that don't iron and people that love it, thinks they should get together.

    Have a good day anyway.

  7. Well - I got that one wrong. Bet you did all those during the night then???? Looks like you've been up all night - amazing colours & embossed texture.........fancy a trip to the Alhambra anyone - could probably use your winter gear through the French Alps or is it the Pyrenees ...... Geography never was my strong point.

  9. Loving your Moorish cards Kath, the colours are lovely.

And yummy soup too. We have soup every week and always some for the freezer when time's short. I'm not achieving much at the moment. I have things I want to make but somehow I'm not getting round to it. Best go and do something now lol!

  12. hi Kath, that soup looks like it would stick to yer ribs as my mum used to say. The cards are beautiful, as always, and I love the colours. I too invested in some winter footwear in preparation for the white stuff, and so far 'niet', not that i'm complaining.the longer it stays away the better. Enjoy your soup!

I also like the look of that lovely soup. Just the ticket for this weather.
I'm very lucky at the moment Hubby is making most of the meals he made some really yummy Turkey soup last weekend. Which unfortunately for me all. It's my favourite. He's also doing all the ironing. He's really looking after me as I'm so fatigued all the time. Love and hugs ChrisB

  17. LOVE your cards!! I'm sure if not this year then next you'll be happy you invested in those tires and Snow-Traks. I live in a senior park and every year I see someone else in a cast from having fallen on the snow and ice. I don't leave the house without my Yak-Traks on, love them.
