It is what it is...

Hi folks...it is what it is...isn't it...is the theme of this month's Art Journaling Class from Shari Carroll...
or in my case...what you see is what you get or everything is not as it seems...
I have to confess to making an utter cock-up when it came to the decorating bit...the flowers I originally used were too big and then I threw caution to the wind and outlined them with a black pen...sacre blue...what was I thinking...note to self...position your embellishments before glueing them down and don't be tempted to over egg the pudding...maybe I should practice a little of what I preach instead of rushing in like a bull in a china shop but no way was I starting all over again so there was nothing else for it but to do a bit of careful prising off and come up with a cover-up solution...hence the reason for the over abundance of flowers...have I learned my lesson...probably not but on this occasion I think I may have JUST got away with it.

But the crafty list is calling so I'll see you all tomorrow to share some snowy "shiver me timbers" pics from the NEC.

  7. Aha - got that T-shirt too. It's amazing what can be done to rescue a project & I certainly wouldn't have known if you'd not told.
All the best with that list.
