Hi folks...first things first...time to announce the winner of my Craftwork Cards Give-Away...

it's going to be one of those multi-task "not enough hours" kind of days...running hither and tither sorting out my wardrobe for the next 5 days...making sure I've got the all important stuff...the polyfilla and the taming the bird's nest hair wonder spray...all those things us girls can't leave home without and then trying to make it all fit in the suitcase before I dash off for a "spit and polish" nail session...then there's the nightmare of going off to bed earlier than usual...tossing and turning trying to get to sleep when you know that the alarm clock will be ringing it's head off at silly 5.00am and downstairs in the cubbyhole there is a brand new toy that I'm itching to play with...
I've finally succumbed to getting a Melt Pot and am now thinking what took me so long...itching to play doesn't even come close..I can't wait to get melting and have some UTEE fun with the new Heat It Inks and Texture Treads...what do you think...should I just throw caution to the wind...fling a pile of unironed clothes into the suitcase and hope for the best...turn up at the salon with tattie howking nails or ditch the idea of getting any sleep in favour of crafty playing.

Keep your eyes open for small metal cookie cutters the lady that sells the FP does fabulous ones that are great for UTEE. Also silicone moulds from a cake decorating shop you can make the most fabulous UTEE decorations. Haven't got any texture treads yet but they are on 'my list' lol! Try to rest when you can Kath it's going to be a very long week for you hugs Karen xx

ReplyDeleteOh gosh this looks good, my melting pot has been sat unused at the back of my worktop covered in dust for years! Now I must go check these new things out might just be the push I need to use it! Susan x

ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jane! I say forget the clothes ironing and just pack it and ask for an iron at the hotel - they will all get get creased anyway. Have a quick trip to get the nails done and then have fun playing! I use the tried and tested method of a pie tin and heat tool, using moulds and cookie cutters - I really should invest....

Morning Kath - You know you'll make it... but if it's any consolation your finger nails will be messy shortly after the opening. I bought a meltpot a few weeks ago and haven't had time to play yet so I'll be interested to see what you come up with. Enjoy. Hugs
