In a word...Spellbinding...

Hi folks...wow what a fabulous fun truly spellbinding day we had yesterday at The Papeterie and the best craft shop in Scotland pulled out all the stops to welcome the Queen of Spellbinders to Aberdeen....hey they even managed to roll back the clouds and reveal the bluest of blue skies and persuaded the sun to put on his hottest hat...rolling out the red carpet and welcoming the lovely Sue in true Scottish style with a highland fling or two from our hunky piper and if we were feeling the effects of the heat...this poor lad must have felt as though he'd been spit roasted...
Sue very kindly agreed to come visit and help raise money for Archway...a charity very dear to The Papeterie staff's hearts.
Archway is an independent Aberdeen based charity offering a range of community based services for children and adults with learning disabilities...they currently support nearly 200 children and adults through their respite...shared and permanent care services and some of Sue's new friends from Archway came along to welcome her...
time to head indoors and meet her adoring crafty fans...
and oh boy...were they pleased to see her...

Sue made 20 cards throughout the day without a break...very ably assisted by her wonderful assistant and member of The Papeterie staff Paula...it was absolutely cooking in the demo room with the sun beating in the huge wall to wall windows and they both deserve an Olympic Gold medal for soldiering on without a whimper of complaint whilst all around them folks were popping in and out for a breath of fresh air. All the cards were raffled along with a Grand Calibur signed by Sue...won by the lovely Tina who was in complete shock...never won anything before...well you have now lovely...enjoy.
The hugest of thank yous to all the lovely folks who travelled from near and far and helped raise loads of money for this wonderful charity and the star of the show...I'm sure Sue won't mind taking second place to this sweet little missy with her wonderful smile...the adorable Sophia...

and her gorgeous "I want a pair of those" shoes.

I'm having a tres lazy feet up doing nothing kind of a day...no painting...no crafting...just chilling out on the sofa with the Furry Boy in the company of Messrs Djokovic and Murray...see you all tomorrow.
Hugs Kath xxx
