A Vintage Journey -Anything Tim...

Hi folks...Monday morning and the start of a busy busy frantic million and one things to do couple of days before I leave for The NEC on Wednesday morning but no way was I missing out on playing along at a brand new challenge blog hosted by some of my fellow Tim Holtz stalker admirer buddies who also just happen to be the most talented crafters in town...

the beginning of a new venture...who knows where it will lead and what we will find on the way but one thing's for sure everybody's journey will be individual and personal so it's time to kit up and share the adventure
and the first challenge is...
I knew I was going to be skidding in by the seat of my pants on this one but by hook or by crook I was determined to clear the decks...get into Distress mode and finally get to play with some of Tim's fabulous new goodies...the old crafty fingers have been itching...with no time to faff around planning a project...I just laid the new stuff on my workdesk and let my imagination take over...
I die cut the postage frames from Tim's new Kraft Resist Pad using the Rectangle Movers and Shapers to create the aperture...I love love love this pad...coloured the frame with Broken China Distress Stain and the inner part with Picket Fence Distress Stain wiping them back to reveal the Resist pattern...
then used some of the 3" x 4" designs from the Wallflower Paper Stash Pad to create some collage pictures
and couldn't resist a bit of decoration with Tissue Tape and one of my favourite Tim products...the fabulous must-have Remnant Rubs...
I die cut the smallest flower from one of the Wallflower patterned papers using the Tattered Florals Die...coloured with Wild Honey Distress Stain...liberally sprayed with water and scrunched them up...once dry I layered them together to create scruffy flowers.
And I make no apologies for sharing the very proud Grandma moment when my grandson Brodie walked out with the Aberdeen Football Team at the Scottish League Cup Final at Parkhead in Glasgow...a day that he will remember and treasure always although he did say that his heart was thumping in his chest...bless...check out the cute blonde guy wearing blue football boots at 25...48 seconds and 1minute 38.

I never watch football but hey even I felt emotional when the Dandy Dons lifted the trophy after a penalty shoot out...
a a very special day for one little boy and the Red Army faithful...all 41,000 who travelled to Glasgow to support their team...I have a sneaky feeling there may well be dancing in the streets of Aberdeen for some time to come.
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

  2. Beautiful, beautiful projects Kath, both frames are amazing and so full of Tim goodness. I just love the shabby vintage effects you achieved and the wonderful elements you used to help fill both frames. Thanks for travelling A Vintage Journey (before you travel to the NEC) and sharing these with us.
Hope your grandson enjoyed his moment of fame. Memories he will always fondly reflect back on.
Take care and have a good week xxx

  3. Your grandson will remember this day always! What a happy moment for all of you. We are in the middle of March Madness in the USA with the NCAA college basketball tournament beginning later this week. I understand how one can get caught up in the game, no matter the sport.
    Love the frames you created!
