Simon Says...Get In Shape...

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...

and the theme for this week is...
GET IN SHAPE
I decided to make a key holder and started off by applying some of the new Distress Oxide ink colours to a piece of Mixed Media Heavystock card...spritzed with water...dried and layered up the colours until I was happy with the result and then added Idea-ology Butterfly Design Tape.
I used Abandoned Coral and the Argyle Layering Stencil to create some more colour on the background and then applied Ranger Texture Opaque Crackle Texture Paste to the Design Tape areas...
and while I waited for the texture paste to dry and the magic crackle to appear...I die cut the smaller house from Sizzix Mat Board using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Tiny Houses BigZ die...
I decorated the house with torn strips of Idea-ology Melange Tissue Wrap...coloured with Abandoned Coral...Fossilized Amber and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks and stamped with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Slate and Stone inked with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide. I created the door from a small piece of Mat Board and distressed the edges of the house with Frayed Burlap...
I added text to the panel using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Shabby French inked with Black Soot Distress Oxide and I love how crisply and cleanly the Distress Oxide inks stamp such a detailed image...
I then added some criss cross marks to mimic the Argyle stencil using Opaque Crackle Texture Paste and an off cut of matboard...
fixed the house to the panel using Ranger Multi Medium Matte and decorated the house and the panel with Idea-ology Number Remnant Rubs...
Idea-ology Alpha Parts sponged with Picket Fence Distress Paint...Adornment Keys...Typography Findings sponged with Abandoned Coral Distress Paint...
Idea-ology Big Chat Sticker and Hitch Fasteners to hold the keys...
I fixed the panel to a piece of heavyweight chipboard and applied Black Soot Distress Paint to the edges...finishing off with an Idea-ology Crinkle Ribbon hanger and bow coloured with Fossilized Amber and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks.
