Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous - Another Glorious Garden

Hi folks, it's Friday and the weekend beckons. I'm on a mission to catch up with the crafty list before a very happy mail parcel of new Distress goodies arrive, so my weekend will be spent in the cubbyhole, although if it wasn't so wet and cold, I might be tempted to give the garden some attention because it's definitely NOT looking glorious at the moment. In the meantime, I'm sharing another card using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Glorious Garden, all 3 Mini Gradient Layering Stencils from Set 39 and Sizzix Shadow Script 1Thinlits to create a stand-out sentiment.

So let's get started. I trimmed a panel of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock to measure 4.3/4" x 6.3/4" and coloured using Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide inks using the familiar...smooshing, drying, spritzing and tapping back into the remaining ink droplets...technique.
I used Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide with the Mini Square Gradient Layering Stencil applied with a mini round blending tool,
and White Gesso with the Mini Dots Gradient Layering Stencil.
I inked the back of the Mini Hex Gradient Layering Stencil with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink, wiped the ink off the edges of the stencil, spritzed lightly with water and tapped randomly on to the background.
I inked Glorious Garden with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine Clear Embossing Powder.
I re-stamped the flower sections on to a scrap of Distress Mixed Media Heavystock in the same way, fussy cut, coloured lightly with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink and fixed over the original stamping using just a dot of Distress Collage Medium Matte in the centre and curled the petals to create dimension. I added dots to the centres using a Sakura Black Gelly Roll Pen.
I matted the panel on to Classic Kraftstock and  die-cut the Love shadow using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Shadow Script 1 Thinlits and to ensure it didn't cut through both layers of card, only ran it through my die-cutting machine once.
I die-cut again 5 times from a scrap of Classic Kraftstock and layered to create dimension
and then replaced the top layer die-cut slightly offset to create a stand-out sentiment
I finished off by adding splatters of Frayed Burlap, Hickory Smoke and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks using a Distress Splatter Brush and matted on to a 5" x 7" White Card Blank.

Enjoy your weekend, whatever you have planned and I'll see you all on Monday to share my DT project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.  You still have time to join in with this week's Add Some Red Challenge with a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to spend at Simon Says Stamp Online Store.
