Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous - Winterscape Bookmarks

Hi, my friends, it looks like it's going to be a week of sharing all the makes I made for the Facebook Live launch of Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Christmas 2020 release and today I'm sharing the bookmarks I made using the gorgeous Winterscape stamp set. If you missed the Facebook Live, you can catch up with all the amazing new stamps and stencils and fabulous inspirational samples over on Tim's Blog HERE. I fell in love with this stamp set the minute I saw it, beautiful traditional images which I thought would be perfect for decorating bookmarks as gifts for friends and yes, there are still loads of folks out there who, like me, enjoy snuggling up in bed on a dark cold winter's night with a good book. I've never taken to reading a book on an electronic device, nothing beats the anticipation of turning the page to discover the next twist in the plot.

I used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Tags Thinlits to create the bookmarks from Distress Watercolor card but the largest tag was shorter than I wanted, so I positioned the top plate on my Big Shot approximately 1/4" back from the bottom cutting edge of the die so that it didn't cut and then trimmed the sides and bottom to size with my guillotine.
I stamped the images from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Winterscape on to the tags inked with Black Soot and Ground Espresso Distress Archival inks.
I inked the snow splatters from the stamp set with Distress Embossing ink and heat set with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder. I dispensed Speckled Egg, Victorian Velvet, Mustard Seed and Vintage Photo Distress Paints on to my Glass Media Mat and spritzed with water. I used the Distress Flat Brush to apply a generous amount of water on each tag and dropped in the paint, letting the water do the work to create a soft wash effect.
To intensify the colour in some areas, I applied Distress Oxide inks using a mini round blending tool and stamped the script from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous The Poinsettia inked with Distress Oxide inks to match the background.
I added Idea-ology Tiny Text and Christmas Remnant Rubs
I coloured the images using Distress Re-inkers using a Distress Detailer Brush
I backed the tags with co-ordinating colours of  Idea-ology Classic KraftStock, ran them through my laminator and re-punched the hole
I finished by adding Idea-ology Velvet Trims and twine

I'll be back tomorrow to share another make using the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Christmas release, in the meantime, I'm gathering supplies ready for Saturday's hot date with Tim for the Halloween Part 2 Facebook Live 10am PT or 6pm if you're in the UK.
