Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

The first challenge of the month means the Design Team are showcasing one particular company or brand and this month we are all using the fabulous products from Katzelkraft. You don't have to use them to join in the challenge but we would love to see what you make if you have them in your stash.
We are also welcoming the amazing and very talented Megumi aka Ink-Lady Blue as our Designer in The Spotlight. If you haven't visited her Instagram Gallery or Blog before, make sure you pop over, you will be in for a real treat.
The theme this week is...
FUN AND QUIRKY
I created a set of notecards using the floral images from Katzelkraft Fleurs stamp set.  I had lots of fun adding colour in a very loose "outside the lines" style using Distress Re-inkers and used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk Snarky Stickers and a little bit of doodling to add a quirky twist.

I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to create 5 - 3.1/4" x 5.1/4" panels and stamped the images from the Fleurs stamp set with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink.
I admire all those crafters out there who do amazing colouring on images, me, I ain't one of them so I decided to go with a loosey goosey - colouring outside the lines style using Distress Re-inkers and lots of water. I applied a generous wash of water on the panel, dropped in my chosen colour of Distress Re-inker and let the water do the work, mopping up any excess with a paper towel. I coloured all the leaf areas first using Peeled Paint Distress Re-inker and dried. I then moved on to the flowers and used Wild Honey, Crackling Campfire, Blueprint Sketch, Worn Lipstick and Dusty Concord Distress Re-inkers. I added splatters of Peeled Paint and dried.

I inked the script sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Flower Shop and holding the stamp in my hands, stamped randomly on each background.
I trimmed, scored and folded co-ordinating colours of Simon Says cardstock (Lemon Chiffon, Cotton Candy, Cornflower Blue, Lavender Purple and Orange Peel) to create 5,1/4" x 6.1/4" cards, matted the panels in the centre and added a squiggly doodled border using a black Fine Liner Pen.
To finish I added a fun quirky twist with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk Snarky Stickers.
