Believe In The Magic

Hi my friends, I'm back to share another Christmas card from my Heidi Swapp/Tim Holtz, just having fun foiling playtime, this time using what is probably my most favourite stamp set ever, the exclusive to Simon Says STAMPtember 2021 from Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous. I certainly do Believe In The Magic of  Christmas and I also believe in the magic of using Toner Ink and Foil with your stamps to add a little bit of extra festive glamour to your Christmas cards.

and it's not until you turn the card to the light, you see the magic
Apologies again for the photos being a bit higgledy piggledy. I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and stamped the Santa and tree images from the STAMPtember 2021 stamp set, inked with Black Soot distress Archival. I fixed the largest moon mask from the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Moon Mask Stencil set in place with Sticky Grid Sheet. (I have die-cut sticky grid sheets to the same size as all the moon masks using circle dies and have stored them with the masks for future use.
I created a wash on my Glass Media Mat of Villainous Potion Distress Re-inker, spritzed the card with water, added the colour with the Distress Broad Brush and used the Distress Detailer Brush to add colour around the edges of the stamped images. I dried the background and used Distress Re-inkers with a Distress Detailer Brush to add colour to the images (Festive Berries on the Santa, Antique Linen on the sleigh, Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stain on the sack and reindeer and Bundled Sage on the trees. I placed a line of the Minc Toner ink on the craft mat of my Glass Media mat and using my brayer, applied the ink to the trees image. I stamped the image offset from the original stamping and immediately lifted the stamp, as the Toner Ink dries quickly. I repeated the process with the "woosh" image from the stamp set, And then I had a "what if" moment, could I use a fine brush with the Toner ink to add gold foil accents to the runners on the sleigh and reins and you'll see below that the answer was YES !!!
I
I covered the Toner Ink areas with Gold Minc Foil and ran through my laminating machine. I inked the sentiment stamp from STAMPtember 2021 with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Simon Says Detail White Embossing Powder and heat set.
To finish I matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.

Happy Crafting and have fun with whatever you're making.
Hugs Kath xxx
