Simon Says - March Card Kit

Hi my friends, Simon Says Stamp have just released the March 2024 Card Kit - Mix and Match Butterflies and you can check out the contents of yet another fabulous, great value for money kit or purchase individual items from the kit HERE. 

I'm sharing a card I made using the Mix and Match Butterflies 6" x 8" stamp set, coloured with Tim Holtz/Ranger Ink Distress Watercolor Pencils, the Single Mix and Match Butterflies die set and Cool Tones Pawsitively Dazzling Gems.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", dropped the shavings from the Bundled Sage Distress Watercolor Pencil on to the panel, spritzed with water to activate, swirled the panel around to let the colour flow and added splatters by flicking a wet brush off the point of the pencil.

I stamped one of the Mix and Matched Butterflies and body, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink, on to Distress Watercolor card.

and coloured with Distress Watercolor Pencils (Spun Sugar, Bundled Sage, Scattered Straw, Scorched Timber) by picking up the colour from the point of the pencil using a Detailer Water Brush.

I die-cut the butterfly wings and body using the matching dies

I applied Simon Says Craft Tacky Glue (included in the kit) to the centre of the wings, foam squares to the edges, adhered to the panel and fixed the body in place.

To finish I stamped the sentiment from the Mix and Match Butterflies stamp set, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink, added Simon Says Cool Tones Pawsitively Dazzling Gems and matted the panel on to an A2 Kraft card blank.
