Hello my friends, I'm back to share another card made using the Pop Art 6" x 8" stamp set, the Pop Art Pieces dies, Textured Cardstock and Prism Dazzling Gems all included in Simon Says Stamp Pop Art July 2026 card kit. This amazing value for money card kit has sold out but if you head over to Simon Says Stamp HERE, you can subscribe to the kit if you don't already, purchase individual items from the kit and find a selection of great add-on products to use alongside the kit.
This was one of those cards where I constantly changed my mind about colours and placement and failed to take step by step photos along the way. I think the heatwave we are having in the UK at the moment has frazzled my brain, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.I began by die-cutting the Textured Cardstock included in the kit using the Pop Art Pieces wafer dies and the first glitch in the making process was I decided to ditch the glitter card pieces.I trimmed the Black Heavyweight cardstock included in the kit to 4" x 5.1/4" and embossed using Simon Says Dotty Circles Embossing Folder from a previous release. I also embossed one of the white die cut circles which ended up as Glitch No 2.I replaced the glitter die-cuts with pink Textured cardstock and fixed in place with Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Glue and added splatters of Simon Says Silver Splatter. I stamped the sentiment and hearts from the Pop Art 6" x 8" stamp set on to the white textured cardstock, inked with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink, die-cut using the Pop Art Pieces dies and popped up on Simon Says Thin 3D Foam Squares to create dimension.I added Simon Says Clear Prism Dazzling Gems.
To finish I matted the panel on to a white card blank, trimmed, scored and folded from the Neenah Solar White card included in the kit. In the meantime, I'm off to sit in the shade with a cool drink and attempt to reset my crafty brain.
