It works everytime

Morning folks.....for those of you who pop across here regularly...you know that last week was a bit of a rollercoaster at Chez Kath.....the Fiskars thingy and Mr Mojo not pulling his weight...and if you know me personally....I DON'T DO NEGATIVE...well not for long.    And when push comes to shove.....none of these things are really important...it's not the end of the world...not life threatening.....just a tad annoying...a little hiccup in the scheme of things..so I think I'll survive...DON'T YOU.     We're heading for a brand new week so it's time to move on and ditch the sad face.   I decided to have some time away from the cubbyhole....up bright and early on Friday morning and the weather was glorious....Mr Sun definitely had his hat on.....so I set off in the car.... hadn't travelled very far and already the mood is lightening......I love where I live...could never contemplate living anywhere else and never tire of the gorgeous scenery right on my doorstep in this part of rural Aberdeenshire

and for those of you who live locally.....you probably know by now where I am heading
the road just leaving Millbank....oh yes I am on my way to Alford to visit Simply Create

and boy oh boy...did I pick the right day....Jacqui was busy unpacking some brand new stock.....so we blethered while I hovered....well it would have been so rude not to and I just couldn't resist these gorgeous gorgeous papers from Fancy Pants...Christmas Magic Collection....

and the Prima Sprites were just a perfect colour match....so I had to have some of them too along with some cute pom poms and white buttons........and did the retail therapy do the trick.....you bet it did.....I guarantee it works everytime.   Thankfully for my bank balance....I don't have to resort to this tactic too often but my other excuse for crafty stash shopping.....is one you can all relate to....I JUST WANT IT.
Catch up with you all tomorrow......I will be sharing some of the cards I made using the stamps from my
Little Christmas Give-Away....they are featured in this month's issue of Simply Cards & Papercraft.
And remember "The New Cubbyhole Candy" and "Buddy's Real Candy" close tonight at midnight GMT....so if you have entered yet....get on over there and get your name in the hat.
What am I doing today....well right now sitting at the 'puter in my tatty old cosy dressing gown having a cuppa but it's time to rouse "THE BEAST"...now that's Buddy not Hubby and set off for our morning stroll and today I am chilling out.....the sun shining so I may just spend the day pottering in the garden.
Hugs Kath xxxx
Edited to add.....I can't believe....another mad crafter living in Westhill that I don't know about.... Honey B.......send me an e-mail and perhaps you can come visit for a coffee and a crafty chat and no Bo Bunny Papers at Alford yet....that was what I was hoping to get....but hey another excuse to have another little trip.
To answer Judy's question.....NOOOO....I am not going to Melodee's class next Saturday and don't remind me please.....I am gutted but I have something else on and can't get out of it....believe me I've tried....hopefully we will meet up soon.

Love the look of your new goodies too...retail therapy always works for me too...but I'm on a stash diet for the last couple of weeks...I have to make 30 cards before I'm allowed to buy any more craft stash...I'm up to 17 so far, so I'm getting there...but my wish list is getting longer by the day! lol

I know that road very well. I live in Westhill and my mum and dad live in Alford! The perfect excuse to pop in past Jacqui's beautiful shop...lol I'm often out there and will be going again this week to get my hands on some of the new xmas papers. Would love some of the new bo bunny ones so hopefully they are out in the shop when I go. Love your blog and it's the first one I check everyday. Your cards are stunning

  9. Morning Kath, wow what beautiful photos. It's good to sometimes take a step back and see what is around us every day - all too often we just look but don't see! It's amazing the glorious scenery we have in this country and often on our doorstep!
Your new papers are delish - have fun with them.

Huge thanks for the edit to yesterday's post to include info about the Kraft Card :)

  11. Hi Kath, week-end is just about over here but it's been nice and sunny so like you spent some time pottering in the garden. Love the pics you took - the countryside looks so pretty at the end of the summer and I bet when it's covered in snow it looks gorgeous! Looking forward to some more inspiring cards made with your new stash.

  22. Lovely stash Kath. I can't go to Jacqui's shop without buying loads of stuff. I was out there a week past Thursday and got some great stash. It's only just over 40 miles from me so it's a nice run with a coffee at the garden centre at Inverurie and lunch at Alford. Enjoy your stash.

  28. My brother used to live in your neck of the woods (or lack of them as round his way we could only see one tree for miles of countryside), and we visited just once but I wasn't into card making then!
