He's Home...

Morning folks...The Furry Boy's home but just on a 24 hour pass...the vet wanted to keep him for another night but I suggested that we take him home for 24 hours to see if we could tempt him to eat. It's early days...slow and steady but it was a momentous moment when we managed to coax him to have 4 very small pieces of chicken last night and hopefully if I can tempt him to have a small portion of rice and chicken for breakfast...there's a very good chance he'll pass muster at our appointment this morning and may well be home for good with lots of meds to get him back to his old hooligan self.
All this drama has played havoc with the cubbyhole routine and I'm way behind with work stuff...haven't started on the demo and workshop stuff for the Christmas Craftaganza at The Papeterie on Saturday...if you live in my neck of the woods why don't you pop in and keep me company in the morning...the rate I'm going there may not be a demo to watch but we can always grab a cuppa and have a blether...I think the afternoon workshop is fully booked but you could always check with Charlotte on 01224 802337...she's a dab hand at managing to sneak a few extra seats in.
I'm also working on a guest designer spot for September...with one of the UK's top stamp companies...well known to all you crafty bloggers...very excited to be invited but more than a little bit nervous...no pressure then...in the meantime I'm sharing some more DT makes...
another card for The Ribbon Girls
and another make from Craftwork Cards "Naturally Gorgeous"
with a little stitchery added...

See you all tomorrow and fingers crossed for some more momentous moments from The Furry Boy
Hugs Kath xxx

  7. Hi Kath, lovely cards even though I'm sure your heart is certainly not on them at the moment. Don't worry about Saturday we'll enjoy doing anything. There's no way Buddy will will be diving into a big bowl of food yet, only wee amounts, the same as we would be had we been so ill. I'm sure his appetite will come back slow but sure, enjoy your day with Buddy at your feet maybe the sunshine will help a little.

  16. Hope that Buddy managed some rice & chicken this morning & was allowed home with you again. I just had to find your blog post over breakfast to see how things were faring. Those balck flowers with the pearl centre are quite stunning & I love the spotty dressed buttons.

  20. Oh dear Kath, I haven't managed to check your blog for a few days, and when I read about your beautiful Buddy, I had to reach for the tissues, as he sounded so very ill. Sometimes I think our beloved pets are more family than family, and can't understand people who dismissively say "It's just an animal". I am so glad he is improving and hope that he will soon be helping you with your beautiful creations in The Cubbyhole.

I have to say you had me giggling when you described your antics with the bicycle...it conjured up a most comical cartoon-like image!

Please give Buddy a big kiss for me.

    Hugs,
    Jennifer. x

  23. The cards are lovely and really fab use of colour - they're so fresh and modern - love them!

More importantly I'm so glad to hear Buddy is home and on the road to recovery. It's so awful when are lovely pets/friends are sick. I worry something dreadful when my Eddy is like that!

You need to get a bike that is the right height for you hun! I have visions of you standing up and pedalling with the helmet covering at least one eye! hugs Karen

  31. Hi Kath, By the time I get your blog posts via e-mail over here in the USA, they are a day old. I was so worried about poor Buddy that I had to click on your heading because I knew there was something more current about his status. So happy to hear he was allowed to go back home with you and the Mr. Praying that he will continue to improve and will be allowed to stay at home. Give Buddy a long distance hug from across the pond.
