Simon Says - Add Some Red

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's challenge...we hope you can join us this week too because...

it's the first Monday of a new month and that means the design team are showcasing products from a particular company. This week it's the turn of Inky Antics and our very own teamie Andrea designs stamps for them too, how cool is that!!!  You don't have to use their products to join in the challenge but we would love to see how you use them if you have them.
We are also welcoming this month's Designer In The Spotlight, the lovely and very talented Lucyna Marynowska aka U Lili and if you haven't visited her blog before then you are in for a real treat!

The theme this week is
Add Some Red
I decided to create a page in my Dina Wakley Journal, dedicated to our teamie Andrea, using the Queen's Quips stamp set she designed for Inky Antics. Andrea is known for her bright colourful projects and has an amazing talent when it comes to using paint to create beautifully layered works of art.

I started off by spraying Tumbled Glass Distress Spray Stain lightly on the page and dried with my heat tool. I then sprayed Brushed Corduroy Distress Spray Stain through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Splotches Layering Stencil and dried.
I pounced Dina Wakley White Gesso through the Splatters Layering Stencil using a mini round blending tool.
and applied Red Geranium Archival Ink through the Speckles Layering Stencil.
I stamped the stitching from The Queen's Quips stamp set with Red Geranium Archival Ink and the numbers and circles with Black Soot Archival
I stamped the adorable image twice on to Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper
stamped the circles on to her dress, coloured with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and fussy cut.
I stamped the images from AALL&Create #26 Border stamp set with Black Soot Archival several times on to Tim Holtz Iea-ology Collage Paper
and fixed the collage paper and stamped image to the page using Distress Collage Medium Matte

I die-cut "ART" from Sizzix Mat Board using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Word Play BigZ die, stamped "Queen" on to a scrap of Strathmore Bristol Smooth using Black Soot Archival and fixed to the page with Distress Collage Medium Matte
