I smooshed Victorian Velvet and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide inks on to my Glass Media Mat and brayered the colours on to my 5" x 7" Gelli Press Plate.
I spritzed the plate lightly with water and pulled a print on to Distress Watercolor card trimmed to 4.3/4"" x 6.3/4".I inked the top hexagon section only on Hexagonal Stems #206 with Hickory Smoke Distress Archivaal ink and stamped randomly on the background.
I die-cut Distress Watercolor card using two ovals from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stitched Ovals Thinlits to create a frame.
and coloured the centre section with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink using a mini round blending tool, spritzed with water and dabbed with kitchen towel.
I inked the flower images with Black Soot Archival and stamped on to Idea-ology Plain Collage Paper. I coloured the flowers on the reverse with Victorian Velvet and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide inks and dried. I traced around the images with a wet paint brush and teased apart with my fingers.
I fixed the frame in place with Distress Collage Medium Matte, added the coloured flower and squares. I fixed the extra flower to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, fussy cut, fixed with Mini Foam Adhesive to create dimension and applied a generous coat of Distress Collage on the bottom of the frame.
I placed the panel in the lid of the Gelli Press box and sprinkled the Distress Collage Medium Matte with Prima Art and Mini Art Stones. These little devils are inclined to go everywhere so drastic measures to contain them are very necessary.
I wound Hemptique Twine around the panel and tied in a double bow, added a few extra hexagons and highlighted the stamped hexagons on the background with a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen. I inked the sentiment from the stamp set with Black Soot Archival, stamped on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, fussy cut and fixed in place with Mini Foam Adhesive.
I matted the panel on to Slate cardstock trimmed slightly larger and then on to a 5" x 7" White card blank.

A gorgeous mix of colour tones Kath, they work so well for the poppy and the delightful background and those mini stones add some lovely extra dimension. It did make me smile that we have used the same stamp set this week - great minds and all that! Big hugs my friend, Anne xxx
