Simon Says - Stamp It

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

STAMPtember is a very special month in the Simon Says Stamp calendar and this week the Design Team are showcasing the latest STAMPtember products. You may not have these new products yet but we would like you to use Simon's Exclusive products if you have them and only use stamps (no digi images allowed), This isn't necessary to join in the challenge but we would appreciate it.
We are also welcoming the lovely and very talented Susanne aka Susanne's Blog as our Designer In The Spotlight for September and if you haven't visited her blog yet, pop over to say hello, you will be in for a real treat.

the theme for this week is...
STAMP IT
I created a contemporary Mini Slimline Christmas card using Simon Says Outline Ornaments Cling Stamp from the STAMPtember release along with Tim Holtz Distress Winterberry and Frosted Juniper Distress Mica Stains from the Holiday Collection Set and and an old favourite, Simon Says Believe stamp set and co-ordinating die

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 3" x 6", stamped the Outline Ornaments inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink, sprinkled with Simon Says Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.
I sprayed the panel with Winterberry and Frosted Juniper Distress Mica Stains, dried, spritzed lightly with water and dried again. I used a wet paintbrush to remove colour from the highlight areas of the baubles, spritzed Flickering Candlelight Distress Mica Stain on to my glass Media Mat, painted the ornament hangers and added some splatters.
I die-cut the shadow from Simon Says Black cardstock, the word 3 times from Distress Watercolor card using Simon Says Believe Wafer Thin die, layered to create dimension and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. I fixed the panel to Simon Says White cardstock trimmed to leave a small border and fixed to a black cardstock, scored and folded to create a Mini Slimline card.
I stamped the sentiment from the co-ordinating Simon Says Believe stamp set inked with Simon Says Embossing ink on to a scrap of black cardstock, sprinkled with Simon Says White Fine Detail Embossing Powder, heat set, trimmed and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
The camera certainly doesn't show the gorgeous shimmer and sparkle from the Distress Mica Stains as you turn the card in the light and in my humble opinion, you can never have enough sparkle on a Christmas card so I added these gorgeous pink-toned irridescent sequins from Sizzix.

  1. I usually reserve my "Stunning" comment for your florals but this card deserves it too!
