It's looking a lot like Christmas

We survived our day of tree decorating and the boys did a great job although most of the baubles were positioned on the lower half of the tree but after a little moving around......everyone was happy

and of course His Nibs had to check it all out

job well done ....followed by a yummy lunch and a fun afternoon playing with the Wii.

And this very proud Grandma has to give her gorgeous grandson a great big massive toot....this was our Christmas card from Brodie and Oliver....the design on the front is Brodie's artwork which was chosen to be made up into packs of cards to be sold to raise funds for his primary school through the "Arts Projects for  Schools Group"...well how proud am I....bursting in fact....a little chip off the old block perhaps.
That's it for today folks....and that gorgeous furry bundle will be back tomorrow with more give-aways.

Yeeehaaaaa...

Morning folks....I am hijacking my own blog....before the furry bundle who is beginning to take over....arrives to do his give-away....what a night last night.....emotional or what.....was doing the happy happy dance when  the gorgeous Geordie Joe won the X Factor....and I will be hot footing it on Wednesday to buy his single.....and I got tickets for my birthday to the X Factor Live Tour in March.....oooh...I can't wait....my heart was in my mouth waiting for the result and it couldn't have happened to a nicer lad.....I was in bits when he won....old softie that I am.....so fabulous to see someone fulfilling their dream.
And then it was time to watch the Susan Boyle story....and oh yes I was crying a river the whole way through....and in the words of the lady herself..."for a wee wifie fae Blackburn....she didn't half scrub up well.....a true superstar and such a lovely unassuming person.....I loved when she met Donny Osmond and the two of them giggling on the sofa was wonderful.....no-one deserves to live their dream more.....I hope her life brings her love...happiness and peace...and if you haven't already bought her album.....you don't know what you're missing........GOD BLESS HER.

Can't wait to see what you all make for this week's challenge and will be popping across to pay you all a visit.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Hi Folks....yes I'm back again with my card for this week's challenge over at Papertake Weekly

RED AND GREEN MUST NOT BE SEEN

and I think I've managed to stick to the challenge this time......absolutely NO RED OR GREEN in sight...just more of this gorgeous Magnolia Paper and one of my all time favourite Penny Black images....my must-have snowflakes......Glamour Dust and a little bit of bling

Papers: Magnolia
Stampin Up Kraft Paper
Image: Penny Black Fantasy
Cuttlebug Snowflake Die
Craftwork Cards: Card Candy Snowballs
Gold Self Adhesive Gems
all finished off with lashings of Glamour Dust

I need to get a move on and get my card done for this week's Penny Black Saturday challenge......blimey chasing my tail again......so no sneaky peeks today....and the production line is in full swing.....still about 20 cards to make and then the worst part of it.....writing them all and addressing the envelopes.

and my favourite

I do believe that your furry bundle of golden deliciousness has been having himself a rummage again and he will be back tomorrow with another give-away and his winners from Wednesday's give-away.
And I can't believe that 2 weeks today will be Christmas Eve.....am I panicking.....you bet your boots I am....so much still to do and so little time.
Catch up with you all later.....Hugs Kath xxxxxx

A Christmas Fest

Morning folks....I'm afraid you are lumbered this morning with the boring old crafty lady instead of that fun bundle of golden deliciousness......I am cracking on with my own personal Christmas cards.....it's a real Christmas fest here and the cubbyhole is covered in snowflakes and oodles of glitter.

I just love this stamp from Stampin Up....just wish I had ordered it sooner and of course...my favourite snowflake had to get a look in too......

I had intended entering the next card into this week's challenge over at Papertake Weekly but once again I was struck down with the dreaded dopey mare virus...the challenge is NO RED OR GREEN.....well that rules this one out.....so it's back to the drawing board...if only I had coloured his scarf blue.......

Am loving this Magnolia paper....in fact I have used their papers this year for all my special personal cards... they are so yummy....and can't believe how easy these easel cards are to make....churning them out...but they are a devil to photograph and of course the lack of decent daylight doesn't help much either.....I spent last night editing photos.....lots from Brodie's Nativity Play.   What a fun way to spend the morning.....all the kids were little stars and I loved the sing-a-long we had at the end....."Jingle Bells"...."Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" and must admit had a little tear in my eye....when we sang "Away in A Manger"....old softie...that's me.
Must dash and get these Christmas Cards done and dusted ....will be back later with my Papertake Weekly Challenge card...as long as I remember NO RED OR GREEN.

Buddy's Christmas Give-Aways

Christmas Give-away closed....winners announced
Morning to all my lovely bloggy friends.....thank you for all your lovely comments....I can tell you all have such excellent taste and are a real cool bunch.....you can be in my gang any time.....but on to the important stuff.

The winner of the Stampin Up Christmas Goodie Parcel is.........

JACKY
(Scrappyjacky)
if you e-mail Mum... kathinwesthill@btinternet.com with your address....she will get your goodies off in the post

Now I am taking a big risk here because my Mum loves My Mind's Eye but I only snaffled some of the papers and die cuts.....did leave her some to play with....and let me tell you girls....flattery works everytime so after all your lovely comments last time....I am pushing the boat out with 2 give-aways today...oh yes you can tell I am accustomed to living dangerously.....

My Mind's Eye..... Bloom & Grow
Papers....Die Cut Flowers & Leaves
Fibres and Buttons

My Mind's Eye.....Wild Asparagus
same as above

You know the drill by now folks.... just leave a little comment here and I will choose 2 winners on Friday when I post the next goodie give-away.....this is becoming a full time occupation folks.....crikey how can one person have collected so much crafty stuff....just as well my Dad never ventures in here.....blimey we could sell off this stuff and be living a champagne lifestyle...sunning ourselves in the South of France or make a bit dent in the National Debt.
Mum is off this morning to watch Brodie's Nativity Play...and considering he is playing the part of a shepherd....I thought I might be asked to play the sheepdog...apparently not....NO DOGS ALLOWED...think they are makin-a-big-a-mistake-a....me being the Laurence Olivier of the dog world and such a celebrity now..... I'm afraid Mum doesn't agree and I am being left home alone again......so it's off to catch some ZZZ's on the old king size.  Mum will be back tomorrow with a challenge card and some more Christmas cards to feast your eyes on........ see you all on Friday
