Stampin Chic Technique Challenge 1

Hi Everyone....back again....two posts in one day....this is becoming a little bit of a habit....but hey it means I am back into crafting mode again big time but this was a scary one.....my first post for Stampin Chic and I don't know why I was so nervous....for goodness sake....this old gal is now a blog pro....I do it every day.
The challenge this week on Stampin Chic....is a technique challenge

PAPER PIECING
this is a technique that I love to do.....for lots of reasons.....you will probably all know by now that I am addicted to gorgeous papers and this is one way of using up every last itty bitty scrap.....us crafters just can't bear to throw them away........so here is my card
Background: Coredinations embossed..sanded
distressed the edges with my trusty scissors...
and then a little bit of doodlingand inking....3 of my other addictions.
Stamped the image onto white cardstock
and then 2 of the fabulous papers from CCSR
and paper pieced her outfit and umbrella
Image coloured with Whispers Pens
Flowers: cut from one of the papers in the range
Sentiments: Tiny Text
and Papermania Block Alphabet..lower case

I am so enjoying working with Clare's fabulous new range of products and I noticed that they were on sale at quite a few stands at the SECC and lots of folk in the queue waiting to get theirs........so if you were one of those lucky folks.....have great fun playing with your gorgeous goodies and why not join in the challenge....we would love to see what you all make with the products.
The Card Design Team will be posting their paper piecing cards on the Stampin Chic blog..... a day at a time...so tomorrow pop over to see what my lovely teamie Sheila has made.
Lots to do....BUT can't get any work done until I tidy the old cubbyhole......it looks as though a bomb has dropped.....so off to get cleaning......catch up with you all tomorrow.......Hugs Kath xxxxxxx

  13. A truly gorgeous card Kath, i love the image you've used and those lovely bright fab papers! sorry to hear about the episode yesterday reagarding the light bulbs. It sounds totally ridiculous to me. I hadn't been aware of this until you told the story. I will need to buy twice as many lamps to get the light i need, and like you say thats hardly helping to save the world! hugs Linda x
