Less Is More Challenge 28

Morning folks....yesterday was a bit of a faffing around kind of day but more about that in a mo...first things first...the winner of Warren's Little Give-Away is....
please e-mail me your address Petra and Warren will be hopping and skipping all the way to your letter box.

next...a card I made for this week's ONE LAYER challenge over at Less Is More....
USE INK
"this does include  ink pads"
so I decided to have a bit of splattery fun with Distress Reinkers and believe me you don't realise how far these splatters travel....am still finding them in the strangest places...

to create the splatter background....drop some Reinker...in this case Stormy Sky and Peeled Paint onto the craft mat....dilute well with water and using a paintbrush which is dripping with water....pick up loads of ink and then flick the bristles to splatter the colour on the cardstock...repeat with the second colour.
I then dipped the Hero Arts Starburst Lace stamp into the puddle of Stormy Sky and stamped at random...also colouring the lace to soak up the last of the Stormy Sky puddle.  Normally I would have finished it all of with a lace bow and perhaps a flower in the bottom right hand corner....but I had to slap my fingers and remind myself...this is less is more.
And on that subject yesterday was more or less a gadding about and faffing around day...first a trip to The Papeterie to restock a cubbyhole essential..
Brilliant White 300gsm cardstock
the turquoise card is for the Fiskars Workshops at the NEC in November...with 300 kits to prep I have a cunning plan...so many per week...instead of a repeat of last year's burning the midnight oil frenzy...well that's the theory...
But onto things of a more pressing nature...in my absence I find the cubbyhole has been invaded by a special delivery of canvas goodies...our very own Leaning Tower of Pisa....
and brushes galore...
for one of October's Workshops perhaps?
And talking of workshops...for all the lovely crafters who have e-mailed me to say that you would love if "The Girls Just Want To Have Fun Crew" could come to your neck of the woods...I had a huge kachink moment when I saw this parked at The Papeterie...(I added the logo onto the photo by the way)
Time for a tongue in cheek moment...wouldn't it be great fun if we could buy this old bus....convert it into a classroom and accommodation for the three crafty girls and take off all summer on tour...an ambitious project for sure but hey it would be an absolute blast...what do you think AnneDebbi...and in the words of the song..."we're all going on a crafty holiday" ..bags I be the conductress swinging round the pole at the back door.
Catch up with you all tomorrow over at WOYWW
Hugs Kath xxx
