Off on another tangent...

Morning folks...yesterday was supposed to be a day of getting stuck into the crafty list again but as per usual in this mad workplace we call the cubbyhole...off I went on another tangent of the "tidy up" variety but before I regale you with that saga...I did manage a little playtime before the mayhem began with another of the new purchases and oh boy this Fresh Daisy Die is just so gorgeous...

OK time to come clean and share the saga of my mad tidy up moment..I was absolutely thrilled recently to be asked by SIZZIX  to create some projects with their brand new dies and embossing folders...no prizes for guessing that the answer was a very speedy YES...YES...YES PLEASE...followed by a huge box of goodies arriving for the cubbyhole crew to play with...
but all these new boys created a bit of an itch that definitely needed scratching...egged me on to tackle a task I've been avoiding for too long...time to reorganise the higgedly piggedly "no rhyme nor reason" cubbyhole die storage system. I use the word "system" in the loosest possible sense...more like disorganised chaos and whatever possessed me to think this was going one of those quick super duper 15 minute turn around jobs. One of those jobs you wish you hadn't started but once it's done you're glad you did....mind you it did involve quite a lot of gnashing of teeth...hair pulling out and a few choice words...

The Tim Holtz Alterations and Sizzix dies are now stored in a double decker system with space in the back for the "not used often" boys and plenty room to accommodate "new arrivals".no more pulling everything to find the one I want.  And talking of new arrivals...you can check out the new dies coming soon from Tim Holtz and Sizzix HERE...paper and pencils at the ready girls...
an old Cosmo Cricket box came in handy for storing Decorative Strips and the albums are perfect for storing embossing folders...
halfway through and I'm beginning to see the wood for the trees...another old neglected box upcycled to hold magnetic dies...
don't you just love when a plan comes together...thanks to SIZZIX we now have a tidy well organised die storage area...
shame about the alphabet and chipboard storage which  looks decidedly scruffy alongside but that's a job for the next time I get that "tidy up itchy" feeling. It's back to the crafty list...I'll see you all tomorrow over at WOYWW
