Dylusions Day at The Papeterie...

Hi folks...I'm sharing what we made yesterday at the first Kath's Klub Workshop of 2014 at The Papeterie...I have to say I was a little bit apprehensive when Charlotte asked if I could use the Dylusions Inks and Stencils or to be more accurate I was quaking in my boots and ready to make a dash for the hills. I've never felt very comfortable with anything that sprays out of a bottle...it's probably the lack of control "who knows where it will end up" thing and how would it work with my clean and simple style...many messy inky days later...I think I may be converted.
But I didn't want to alarm my lovely crafty girls too much...covered in ink in the first five minutes probably wouldn't go down well so we started off rather tentatively lightly spraying through the stencils for a clean and simple look...
and woohoo am I in love with this Tattered flower...die cut from fabric...burlap and those gorgeous recently purchased canvas shapes...
Card Number 2 and time to be a little bit bolder...using 2 colours with a bit of water flicking thrown in for good measure...inking through the alphabet stencil with Distress Ink and using a fine liner pen to draw through the leaves stencil finishing off with a bit of cross hatching...
and then we inked through the stencils with Versamark and embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder and then let rip with the inks...

We had great fun in our little toe dipping session into the world of Dylusion Inks...it was great to see some new faces and they all took to spritzing inks like ducks to water and what I love about techniques like these...no 2 cards are ever going to be the same...

loved the alphabet on this one placed at a jaunty angle...why didn't I think of that...
happy crafters ready for a rub-a-dub dub scrub up before lunch...
I'll be back tomorrow to share what we made in the afternoon...using all the techniques from the morning to make a wall hanger.
Hugs Kath xxx
