Everything is possible...

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's "Make A Wish" challenge...we hope you can join us this week too...

and the theme for this week is...
MONOCHROME
Definition: Black and White or different shades of a single colour
I decided to go with classic Black and White and made an art journal page based around Hickory Smoke...one of my favourite colours in the Distress Palette...a beautiful smoky grey...

I gave my pages a coat of gesso and randomly fixed down the Tissue Tape. I then applied Hickory Smoke Distress Paint using a baby wipe...
picked up the paint left on my craft mat with kitchen towel and pounced all over to create a tone on tone mottled effect...
inked the Halftone stamp with Black Archival and Hickory Smoke from the Tim Holtz Distress Mixed Media Palette and stamped randomly over the page.
I applied Wendy Vecchi Crackled Texture Paste through the Brick Stencil from Mini Layering Stencils Set 3 and when it was completely dry...applied Distress Collage Medium Matte over the whole page. I then rubbed the Hickory Smoke Distress Crayon  over the texture paste...rubbed it in with my finger and wiped back from the surface with a damp baby wipe.
I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Radiant Sunflower from black card and paper covered with Tissue Tape...inked the Halftone stamp with Picket Fence Distress Ink and stamped the black circles for the flower centres...

I added extra flower circles and created shadows around them using the Black Soot Distress Crayon and created splatters with the Tim Holtz Splatter Brush and Picket Fence Distress Paint...
and finished off by adding some Big Chat Stickers...
And if you're wondering about my choice of sentiment...well let's just say at one point in the creative process it was looking very likely that it was heading for the bin but I hung in there...kept stepping away and coming back to look at it with fresh eyes and finally ended up with something I was happy to share.
