and the theme for this week is...
MONOCHROME
Definition: Black and White or different shades of a single colour
I decided to go with classic Black and White and made an art journal page based around Hickory Smoke...one of my favourite colours in the Distress Palette...a beautiful smoky grey...
I gave my pages a coat of gesso and randomly fixed down the Tissue Tape. I then applied Hickory Smoke Distress Paint using a baby wipe...
and finished off by adding some Big Chat Stickers...
And if you're wondering about my choice of sentiment...well let's just say at one point in the creative process it was looking very likely that it was heading for the bin but I hung in there...kept stepping away and coming back to look at it with fresh eyes and finally ended up with something I was happy to share.

ReplyDeleteLove your art journal page, Kath! I love those sunflowers and have to put them on my wishlist. I have to admit it would have been really hard to make those beautiful flowers in hickory smoke but you nailed it and they look lovely. Amazing! Cathie
