I began by trimming Distress Watercolor card to be slightly smaller than A2, spritzed with water, sprayed with Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Sprays. I dried the panel, spritzed with water and patted with kitchen towel to create that oxidised water droplet effect.
I left the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text stamp on the carrier sheet and inked with Peacock Feathers, Wild Honey and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks
and stamped on to the panel
I stamped the bunnies, flowers, leaves and splatters from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Spring Shadows inked with Distress Archival inks
I inked the sentiment from the stamp set with Versamark ink, stamped on to a scrap of vellum and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine White Embossing Powder. I applied Ranger Opague Matt Texture Paste through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bubble Layering Stencil.
I stitched the vellum strip on to the panel, removed the thread from my sewing machine needle and stitched randomly around the edges of the panel.
I added Crinkle Ribbon, pom poms to create the bunny tails and matted the panel on to a white A2 card blank.
As we head towards the end of January, it seems we may be saying hello to Spring quicker than we think
With no snow yet in my neck of the woods, we seem to be skipping Winter this year or will those be famous last words that jump up and bit me on the bum. In the meantime, I'm heading for the cubbyhole, inspired by Monday's love-themed Art Journal page, to crank up the Valentine's Day card production line.
Toodle-oo for now
