Having Fun with Tim Holtz/Sizzix - Countryside Thinlits

Hi my friends, I started off making a quick card with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Countryside Thinlits but I should have known I would fall down the rabbit hole when I saw the pile of fall out pieces on my desk so I ended up with one card and 3 super cute mini cards.

For the main card, I die-cut the Countryside Thinlits from an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card from my background box coloured with Tree Lot and Frosted Juniper Distress Mica Stains. I then decided to break out the packs of gorgeous Opulent Cardstock that Sizzix kindly sent me some time ago to play with, matted the panel on to the glitter card from the Gold Opulent pack and trimmed to be slightly larger but had a change of heart at the end, trimmed off the gold glitter edge and just matted the panel on to a white card blank.
I die-cut Countryside Thinlits again from the Ivory Glitter and Holly Berry Pearl card and pieced the trees, houses and birds back into the negative spaces.I die-cut the Merry sentiment from Holly Berry Pearl card from Sizzix Festive pack using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Merry and Bright Thinlits 4 times, layered to create dimension and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I trimmed Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas Label Tape which is self adhesive and added to complete the sentiment.
Now I had all the fall out pieces crying out to be used
So I decided to make some small cards which you could either send individually or make up into a pack to gift to a non-card making friend and it also gave me an excuse, as if one were needed, to cater to my new obsession with the fabulous Moon Masks from Tim and Stampers Anonymous and the sentiments from one of the new release stamp sets from Stampers Anonymous, Cozy Christmas.
I began by using up some 3" x 5" scraps of Distress White HeavyStock card left over from another project. I fixed the middle size Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Moon mask to each panel, held in place with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Sticky Grid sheet and spritzed the panels with a mix of  Antique Linen, Old Paper and Gathered Twigs Distress Spray Stains. I removed the mask and dried. I placed the detail Moon Mask in place and spritzed with Old Paper Distress Spray Stain, removed the mask and spritzed around the edge of the moon with water to allow the colour to run into the moon area and dried.I delved into my stash of Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Christmas Design Tapes, added strips at the bottom of each panel along with words trimmed from the Idea-ology Christmas Label Tape used on the main card.
I arranged the fall out pieces which had been die-cut from Holly Berry and Mistletoe Pearl card from Sizzix Festive pack and Ivory Glitter card from Sizzix Ivory Opulent pack and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I stamped the sentiments from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Cozy Christmas, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival.
I applied Distress Snowfall Grit Paste through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Snowflakes Layering Stencil
and while the paste was still wet, I added a sparkly top-coat of Distress Garland Glitter using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Glitter Duster/
I matted the panels on to Holly Berry Pearl card trimmed to be 1.8" larger and matted on to 3.1/4" x 5.1/4" white card blanks.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and have fun with whatever you are making
