One of my Christmas Card Orders.....and this will send the crafty world into total shock...ended up in the Recycle Bin at Tesco....I know I was a little distraught meself......how could anyone throw this little cutie away
One of my customers had ordered this for her Granddaughter and after Christmas her Son....in his wisdom and obviously trying to score some brownie points.....took the manly decision when his wife and daughter were out....to take down all the Christmas Cards and dumped them in the Recycle Bin at Tesco......well his wife was not entirely happy and his daughter was absolutely inconsolable.......so I got a call the other week to ask if I could make a replacement.....well how could I refuse so I set off to the cubbyhole last night....piece of cake me thought.
First I couldn't find the pink paper....and after much searching and lots of bad wordies...I found it..but what on earth possessed me to put it there and then I couldn't find the template for cutting out the snowgirl.....oh bother....that wasn't what I said but there may be kiddiwinks reading this......so I decided to redraw all the various bits...took me an age and just when the card was almost complete....I went searching for some silver mirri for the nose and the arm and hey presto.....in that box was the template.....me thinks I need a better filing system.
Never mind all's well that ends well...but little did I think I would be making a Chrissy Card in February and I do hope that hubby is now out of the doghouse.
Will be back later with my "Pink Elephant" challenge card......and I am having an afternoon off.....feet up with a nice cuppa...cuddling on the sofa with my best BUD relaxing watching my hero on QVC......and I have a little bit of news to share with you all later.....NO....... not a little bit.......A BIG BIT OF NEWS.........Hugs Kath xxxxx
Some men just dont think do they? Just goes to show how much your card was thought of though Kath. It's a very lovely card. There's an award for you on my blog if you would like it. Looking forward to your news!
