Get Funky Challenge....October

Morning folks....and who can believe it's the first day of October already....and where did September go....fabulous entries for Ruth's TWO LITTLE BOYS CHALLENGE last month .....Ruth has already announced her winner ....so pop over to GET FUNKY to see who has won the £20 voucher from FUNKY HAND.
We are definitely getting the old Autumn weather now.....leaves dropping from the trees....a definite chill in the air and the bit I don't like..... the darker mornings and evenings aren't that far away and at the end of this month it's......
HALLOWEEN

Which brings me nicely to the challenge this month over at GET FUNKY.....hosted by our lovely and mega talented teamie....ALLISON.
I'll be honest...I struggled a little bit with this one.....have never really made Halloween cards and didn't think I had anything remotely Halloweeny in my stash....but that's why it's called a challenge folks....so got the old thinking cap on and after a few false starts finally came up with this one......which I rather like.....using one of my favourite FUNKY HAND downloads......SALT AND PEPPER....I love that plaid paper.

Paper..Element & Alphas.....Funky Hand....Salt & Pepper Download
Bazzill Cardstock
Image: October Afternoon
Sizzlits: Flowers Branches & Leaves Set
Button..thread and gems from stash
Woodware Scalloped Circle Punch
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads.....Mustard Seed..Spiced Marmalade..Brushed Corduroy

And that "oh so not scary" spider was made with a button....... cut the stems I had left over from the Sizzlits branches for the spider legs  (yes I did remember spiders have 8 legs) glued them to a small circle and then popped a black button on top with gold gems for eyes.
Why don't pop over to GET FUNKY and feast your eyes on all the gorgeous creations from the other lovelies on the team......they have well and truly rocked this challenge.....as always.
You have one whole month to get creative with the Halloween theme.....and it doesn't have to be a card....it could be a gift bag..a little trick and treat box..altered art..a scrapbook page....whatever takes your fancy.....so it's time to get FUNKY AND SPOOOOOKY with the girls from the GET FUNKY GANG.....can't wait to see what you come up with and will be popping over to pay you all a little visit....in the meantime...
Have lots of fun crafting
Hugs Kath xxxxxxx
