Using Up The Left-Overs...

Hi folks, it's a rather apt blog post title today because I seem to have been living off the Christmas left-overs forever. I have finally cleared the fridge, feasted on the cheese mountain, devoured packet after packet of biscuits for cheese, eaten the last Mince Pie and demolished the Christmas cake all by myself...only because no-one else resident at this establishment likes fruit cake so someone has to step up and make the sacrifice. But now the cupboards are bare, this Old Mother Hubbard needs to make a trip to the shops to re-stock.
And I've been using up left-overs in the cubbyhole too. I had a few practice stamping sheets lying around from yesterday's Birds Of A Feather Art Journal Page for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and being a canny Scot, there was no way they were ending up in the bin. So I looked out Simon Says Stamp Wonky Rectangles Die, the Letter it Collection stamp sets which are still sitting on my workdesk and my trusty Sharpie Black Marker Pen...
and voila, another 3 cards for the cubbyhole card box
Broken China, Cracked Pistachio and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxides

In the meantime, I'm working my way through what's left of the sweetie mountain...tough job but someone's gotta do it.
See you all soon

  3. Hi Kath, I've been popping in and out for months checking on what you are up to - all impressive I must say, including these cards. Great use of your leftovers. I love those word stamps - so useful and usable. I have to confess that I don't have any Oxide inks - yet! I'm sure the day will come when I submit to temptation but in the meantime I'm very happy to continue using up my lovely collection of distress inks. Oh, and Maltesers - irresistible! There's a huge box of those chocolates tucked away - as long as it's out of sight and unopened I can resist :) Snowing intermittently down here but not lying so my dreamed of white out is unlikely to happen today. Have a great day. Elizabeth xx

  4. Kath, these just made me smile, they are so adorable, love the gorgeous backgrounds you created - I bet they would work for Christmas Robins too. Tried giving up chocolate after Christmas but have not lost a single pound....:( . Will be missing for a few days now, not sure if I will be able to log in over there but will try.... Big hugs my friend, Anne xxx

  6. Adorable cards Kath.
I'm still wading through the Christmas leftovers (some I gave up on and took into work) but I tried to be good this year and not buy too much of the snacky stuff.
I didn't buy much in the way of chocolate and that is something that I have topped up on but on the whole I'm now trying to be good and more veg and fruit are being consumed.
