too much fussy detail perhaps and for a day or two it hovered above the cubbyhole bin. Then I set it aside and got to work on Option No 2...my tag memory book. But this warts 'n all creation has grown on me and has now taken up it's place in my Dylusions Black Square Journal. And heeding the wise words of my adorable Professor "i say embrace imperfection and revel in your artistry, each piece you make only needs to reflect the creative now. remember don't project your expectations on art, let it be what it will be" I am embracing my imperfections and getting over myself...it is what it is and life's too short to get hung up on such things.
And hang on to your galluses because tomorrow I'll be back to share another take on PERFECTION.
Toodle-oo for now
Hugs Kath

Hi Kath, I think this is lovely. I love the wise words of your professor, and also the wording on your art says it all
ReplyDelete"stay strong" & "take risks". Sometimes in art taking risks is key to creativity or possibly nothing wonderful would ever happen.
Sorry I've not been around much lately Kath, with family ill health and then so many personal family loses and upsets this past year and a half I haven't been thinking about creativity much.
I hope you're keeping well and your furry boy Buddy too.xx
This floats my boat and an ocean liner to boot! I love it and all your creations!
ReplyDeleteWell I love it Kath, I understand the feeling though, we all have it, but trust the man himself to have just the right words for any given situation...I should print that out and stick on my wall....have a good day.x
ReplyDeleteI think this is absolutely stunning Kath and so happy you didn't throw it in the bin. Looking forward to tomorrow's post.

ReplyDeleteWell, I can't see much imperfection in there.. I just love the gorgeous soft green and pink tones, they are a lovely backdrop for the boldness of the numbers - so glad this did not stay in the bin!! Big hugs, Anne xxx
ReplyDeleteThe colours on this are lovely and I always enjoy looking at all the detailed bits & pieces you add to your creations.
