I began by applying White Gesso to the journal pages, die-cut a circle and hand cut a border for the bottom from masking paper and fixed in place. I sprayed the pages with Hickory Smoke, Stormy Sky, Tumbled Glass and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Spray Inks, spritzed with water and dried with a heat tool. I removed the masks and flicked splatters of Stormy Sky and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Spray on to the moon, spritzed lightly with water and dabbed with kitchen towel to pick up the excess. I spritzed Stencil #45 Digital Bubbles with Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Spray and tapped randomly on the pages.
I inked the #261 Magical House image with Versafine Clair Nocturne and stamped twice on to masking paper and the page. I fussy cut to create masks and once in place, stamped the centre image. With the masks still in place, I applied Peeled Paint and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink through Stencil #45 Digital Bubbles using mini round blending tools. I removed the image masks and attached them to the back of the stamp carrier sheet, ready to use again.
I inked the images from #252 Coffee First, #261 Magical House and sentiment from #254 Safety First with Versafine Clair Nocturne and stamped on to Strathmore Bristol Smooth Watercolor card
and coloured with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.
I doodled lines around the edge of the pages and created "flag poles" for the sentiments using a Sakura Micron Pen. I fussy cut the roofs and doors of the houses, the sentiments, the dog and an extra coffee cup and fixed them to the pages with Distress Collage Medium Matte.
I finished off by stamping the sentiment from #252 Coffee First randomly on the background, adding dots of Wild Honey Distress Oxide Spray and splatters of Black Gesso
I'll be back tomorrow to share a Christmas project using the adorable Mr Snowman from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Chapter 4 release.

Haha, I love the grumpy dog image! I have trained my furry hooligans to enjoy a lie-in, pee time with dad then snuggling with mum while she has a cuppa....only like early when it’s summer lol.
